<><>UPDATE<><>This deck went 2-2 in a FNM Standard Constructed tournament. 4 wins and 4 losses. I found it to be a little too control-heavy in not very good control colors.<><><><><><><>Just getting back into magic. Naturally don't want to invest a lot of money in expensive Innistrad block cards as their days are numbered. Thought this budget deck might be rather competitive in standard while I wait for new stuff to cycle in. The objective is to get to 3 or 4 mana and then just take over. There are 16 copies of cards that say snatch target creature, untap it and attack with it while the rest of the deck is designed to sacrifice that stolen creature for my own diabolical purposes. Thoughts and suggestions?
• Turn 1 and 2: There are no one drops in this deck, unfortunate, I know. Turn 2, however, drop a Bloodthrone Vampire or Disciple of Griselbrand. <><><>• Turn 3: This is where the deck comes alive. Steal the best creature available from your opponents' battlefield and swing with it via one of 12 "Threatens" in the deck at 3 converted mana cost. Then sacrifice that creature to Bloodthrone Vampire.<><><>• Turn 4 and on: Provided you are consistently growing your lands, Turn 4 and 5 are when things can get incredibly nasty for a deck not prepared for you. You will now be able to continue stealing opposing creatures but you can follow up with Flings, Altar's Reaps, Bone Splinters, and Devour Flesh. These enable huge burns, card draw, removal, and life gain respectively. Devour Flesh can always be used aggressively as well to eliminate pesky Hexproof creatures. <><><>There are 16 "Threatens" in this deck. Have fun.
