The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Still brewing, brewing, brewing away trying to make my Puresteel deck more solid...

speed would help and it seems that Red can be pretty fast sometimes XD

Deck discussion for R/W Puresteel

Again, I would consider Whispersilk Cloak. With a fast aggro deck it makes your creatures unable to be targetted by abilities, but if im correct the equipment you attached previously wont fall off so your in the clear!

well we've got swiftfoot boots now so he doesn't need to worry about whispersilk anymore, good card but the boots beat it. id say add some swiftfoot boots and maybe some darksteel plate, ditch the pods though

Hey dudes, thanks for the comments! Couple things though...

@ Tuba, Whispersilk Cloak is not a good card... The drawback of not allowing me to equip anything to the creature once it's on is huge, HUGE. This is an EQUIPMENT deck and it's not uncommon for me to switch the equipment around 5 or more times in one turn. The cloak would COMPLETELY get in the way of that mechanic, in addition to being expensive to cast and equip. There are much better cards out there, and while they may not give me the "unblockable untargetable" effect, I'd still rather play them.

@ Phoenix, Darksteel Plate has a similar problem to the Cloak. It is just expensive to use and there are better equipments for the cost. As for the Mortarpods... Them and the Flayers are the whole reason this deck works. Mortarpod is a BEAST in this deck. Having one and a Basilisk Collar gives you so much more interaction with your opponent. With a Puresteel on the field, Mortarpod is a creature (you can either sword the germ up, or chump him), a ping (with the collar it's lifegain and a removal spell), and a card draw... For 2cmc. It's amazing and if I could run 6 of it I would.
