The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.


Deck Description

I got tons of cards here and I need to know what to take out to make this as good as possible. Please comment your suggestions. Thanks! Also I'd like to get it down to about 60 or 62 cards. All suggestions are appreciated!

How to Play

Here's some things I thought about doing but wasn't sure:

Make this mono blue to get rid of holy day, silence, pacifism, and sejiri merfolk.

Cut the counter cards to 14 at max (at 20 now).

Take out 1 coralhelm commander.

Take out 1 merrow commerce.

Take out 1 isochron scepter.

Take out either merfolk sovereign or lullmage mentor completely.

Please comment what you think and I will change the deck accordingly. Thanks to all for the help. I appreciate all suggestions even if I don't follow your advice completely. Thank you all!

Deck discussion for Plz Help/ Read description

I would take out the Merrow Commerce (-3) , Architect's Will (-2) and Coralhelm Commander (-2). I would add Cursecatchers (2) and SpellSkite (2) getting you to 60 cards. This is not a normal Merfolk build as you probably know but you need a lot of Instants if you are going to play Scepter. You could even try Fire//Ice, a great Scepter card. This deck will win in the midgame so it needs the countering to get there (IMO), and counter trouble cards - Board clearing, flying and large creatures, and troublesome enchantments and artifacts.

thanks for the advice. What is a normal merfolk build btw? I made this deck because i thought they were cool

Aether Vial, Lords (like you are playing), Silvergill Adept, Cursecatcher - mostly 2 dops to Vial in and leave mana open to counter. Check out mtgdecks.net for modern or legacy Merfolk decks.
