Neat. Loving the Mindcrank.

Find a card or cards that makes a person lose life whenever he or she gets miled and you got your win condition right there!

Duskmantle guildmage. its first ability does the loop mentioned. it casts for one blue one black. its ability costs 1BU. to my knowledge its the only one. could splash in a blue with the buddy lands.

Actually there is bloodchief ascension. use that over the guildmage

Also you ought to use isolated chapel over the gates or the temple

I think bloodchief is better so I don't have to splash blue

It is you won't have to pay mana to use it for another reason its better. sorry about the string of comments also. been a long week.

I don't think that Howling Mine alone is enough to keep this going. Temple Bell or Otherworld Atlas for more drawing. Perhaps with Voltaic Key ?

I want to put in Otherworld Atlas but I don't know what I want to take out for it

I think you could take out Megrims. Honestly Black Vise, Iron Maiden, Liliana's Caress, Bloodchief Ascensions and Underworld Dreams is enough to deal damage.

What do you guys think about adding in an Unwinding Clock

If you add Ghoulcaller's Bell it would be worth adding.

I would consider going mono black and making these replacements (just my thoughts):

Leyline of Sanctity for Exquisite Blood
Darkest Hour for Dark Ritual
Light of Day for Fate Unraveller

if you add exquisite blood add sanguine bond that is an instant life drain.

I use a similar howling mine/caress deck. But mine uses stasis, winter orb, tangle wire, propaganda, and orb of dreams (I'll see if I feel like uploading it).

I'd say, you can cut mindcrank/ascension combo completely. Add more lockdown in place of it; you already have enough win conditions.
For example, games 2 and 3, your opponent will know to play her hand as fast as possible. To solve this problem, I'd suggest using cards such as armageddon, ravages of war, or catastrophe to destroy all lands, thus further prolonging the game, further increasing your opponent's hand size, and further being a troll.
Good luck (-_^)

I see what you mean but im greedy and don't want to lose my lands also. I have way that can take all of their lands but I would have to splash green

I decided to splash in green for Splinter so it can combo with Liquimetal Coating to take all of their lands

Interesting. Your deck is quite quirky. You have so many different combos that your opponent probably wont know how your deck wins until you combo off. And I bet each game would be different. Very fun deck it seems. (I still prefer your blood/crank combo, though... I personally don't like combos that don't instantly win. It's a strong synergy, but I usually don't like playing decks with all sorts of different crazy combos except for the lols).

Try a font of mythos, it is a great draw artifact.

I thought the Bloodchief Ascension/Mindcrank combo was better than Liquimetal Coating/Splinter.

they are both good that's why I sided it so I have a choice between them

0

why is there green mana if the only green is in your sideboard???

0
Posted 09 March 2014 at 00:09

I have that there for when I want to side it in so I don't have to switch my lands

In addition to the font of mythos, I would also recommend you adding a set of dreamborn muse if you do want that sort of win condition as well.

I know its not really legal, but Memory Jar would be pretty good.

I notice you don't have any creatures but if I were to add one creature it would be Psycosis Crawler. With all that card drawing and infinite hand size it may be worth it. Casting cost may be a little high for this deck though either way I like the deck it looks fun!

Looks pretty nice, but there are no creatures, so it might make it a little difficult, I'd consider a Pyschosis Crawler. It would work really well with what you are doing
