Deck Description

EDIT: My first deck, in 1 hour became one of the top 5 for today. 11/1/14

How to Play

Basic idea, Gleancrawler and Korozda Guildmage. Sac powerful creatures for lots of saproling tokens and get your big weenies back at EOT.

Deck discussion for Reuse, Recycle, Repeat

How is this not legal in modern?

Even though Reincarnation was printed in Commander 2013, the card is not Modern. Sets like Commander, Planechase, and Duel Decks enter the eternal formats: Legacy and Vintage. Reincarnation is not Modern-legal. You can use Vigor Mortis instead; that's a pretty good replacement in a Golgari Reanimater build.

Good idea.

You could remove Reincarnation and add in Grim Return instead for it to be modern! :) But if you want to keep the graveyard options up then you can keep it the way it is lol

Grim Return I might forget to cast the turn my creatures die. The name is nice though :)

so that is some large casting cost creatures there. I don't see this deck doing anything until turn 5. By then you might be in more trouble than your tokens can get you out of. Wouldn't it be better to self mill or discard those big creatures and bring them back with reincarnation? seems like that could work by 3rd turn, quicker if you add in some mana production, I mean it is in modern.

The problem with dredge and milling sometimes is that you might actually mill your return card. That, and I don't have space in here for a EoI.

Budget modern, wrecks face. Has combos and is aggressive. iTs got a little of everything. Very nice, is this semi-budget? I can think of some nice things for this.

Actually yea, old cards from Eventide and some cheap things from Return to Ravnica. The only thing I really spent much money on was Lord of Extinction and Woodland Cemetery. Also balanced, at first I was like "Ima have 2 doomgapes driving and then a LOE in the back seat." but the ramp would not have worked out well. I actually didn't find out the combo untill yesterday so I was like "Ima share this."

Also glissa and exicutioner capsule, but that combo is probably for another deck.

A CorpseJack Menace would be killer in this deck, to double the counters that scavenge gives you. Maybe a Kolonial Hydra could work really well.

Yeah, the only things that gives counters are Vigor Mortis and Slitherhead

You are currently running FOURTEEN spells that cost 3 mana! Your mana curve is horrible ... can't cast something on turn 1 and 2 and have to wait until you get to 6 lands until you can play two spells ...

I strongly recommend to replace the Slitherhead with Llanowar Elves or Birds of Paradise!
