deck i built with my friends help for my birthday. Basically works around creating large amounts of insects and then either Coat of Arms or Alpha Status on the Living Hive currently working on another alpha status constructive comments are welcomed

I run a similar deck, though you actually have more beef than I do. I never though of running Primal Growth in mine, I think I might be running either Harrow or Kodama's Reach. Another Alpha Status is a must, definitely. Also, unless you're sold on Evolution charm, Vitality Charm is something I run as a quick way to get more insects on the field. Pus, giving some of these guys more trample never hurt. :)

The main reason for evolution charm would be, simply, to block fliers if its still too early game, or if it will kill me. Thank your for your opinion though. :)
If you're worried about flying, you might want to consider sideboarding some Spider Umbra - it's a more permanent fix if you're going up against someone who deals with a flier heavy deck - for instance, someone dropping Vines of Vastwood on a Plague Stinger.
Nice build. Definitely add more Alpha Status and I suggest looking into Door of Destinies to use instead of Coat of Arms (I prefer it). Also take a look at Swarm Yard, it's an awesome land for an insect deck.
Actually, there are a couple of MEAN flying green insects that can mess up a board. XD For example, Xantid Swarm can stall the hell out of blue and forces your opponent to respond to what you have on the field before you attack. I have the in my sideboard and, when they're on the field, do most if not all my spell casting during second main phase. With enough pump ups, they can be vicious. Caustic Wasps could almost act as a mini-Argentum Armor towards artifact heavy decks. If you're ramping fast enough to always have mana free, Unyaro Bees could even survive main deck and have the option of being an emergency creature kill or doing the final bit of damage for the win.
