Zombie Nation

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Zombies - the tribe that time is forgetting. sure, they pop up here and there occasionally, but never with enough substance to really work together anymore. and to top it off, they're being replaced with vampires. even so, I've been trying for a while to make a decent zombie deck. the problem is that zombies don't really have the efficiency on a single card basis that elves, merfolk, snakes, or other significant tribes do. (there is no equivalent of an imperious perfect as a zombie, or a Silvergill Adept, or a mystic snake.)

Zombies can, however, bash right through defenses with fear and pump each other like no others.

I'm still trying to get a playset of sudden spoiling, and another lord of the undead.

I would love suggestions, tips, anything. this deck currently holds its own in single player if paired with a slower deck or if it draws a fast starting hand, but I'd like it to be on par with elves, merfolk, snake, ect.

Deck discussion for Zombie Nation

Looks good, Grixis Slavedriver is a little expensive though, 6 mana for a 4/4? even with his ability Im not sure its worth it...

I see it as a 4-in-1 creature, especially when all of the 4 are buffed out, but I'd chuck him in an instant for another lord of the undead.

hav eyou ever considered the new zombie liege?

i would remove helldozer i think zombies should be offensive.
and i don't think you want to tap a 6/5 it would be better to attack with it
also have you considered splashing blue for lich lord of unx

it will mill pretty fast in combination with your other zombies while it ll help you making extra zombies.

but i've never played zombie very much so i don't know

thanks for the comments i replied back btw ^^

zombie infestation is crap. you're swapping 2 cards for one zombie token. usually 2 cards will have much more value than a 2/2 token.

since you are running Zombie Master, why not use Evil Presence or Urbog, Tomb of Yawgmoth? That way you zombies will be unblockable
1 lord of the undead is very unreliable. you should consider at least 1 more
Grixis slavedriver is VERY expensive since you only get a 4/4 + a 2/2 and since you only run 1 of them i would swap that for something else. Same goes for Helldozer. You could consider running more zombie clerics together with some rotlung reanimators. Trust me your opponent we be surprized when he destroys a 1/1 creature and 4 2/2s come out

you can check my zombie deck if you want:

Edit:
Out: 1x Helldozer, 1x Grixis Slavedriver.

In: 1x Unmake, 1x Grave Defiler

I like you deck... Don't be too quick in slating Zombie Investation, with Unholy Grotto you can put the cards back in your hand anyway, then you have a zero costing 2/2 zombie.

Would welcome your comments on my deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=28405 (Lim-Duls Zombies)

Yes, but the process of discarding cards, and then putting them back on top of your library, then drawing them, is very mana costly for a 2/2 token. It eats up two turns of drawing, 3 mana, and two cards. I would like to think that playing the actual cards is more useful than discarding them, especially two at a time.

I love 'Entrails Feater' and 'Call to the Grave' combo... force your opponents to sac their creatures, then pump up the feaster...
