Deck Description

I was tinkering and wondering to see if my wither deck would be better if it was a Black/Red hybrid deck instead of a mono-black.
Instead of my original Mono-black wither deck. Since i threw in red i can now distribute more -1/-1 counters faster i think with the added Puncture Blast, Puncture Bolt. With Fists of the Demigod i can enchant Ashenmoor, Manaforge, or Kulrath, to make them lethal wither/first strikers. So my opp would have to either take a huge amount to the face or block, either way its going to suck for them.
Plus adding in Power of Fire on to a creature that has wither (ex: necroskitter) i can ping target creatures for more -1/-1, and then go for the instant kill with Crumbling Ashes.
Not sure how this will work compared to my mono-black (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=73519) but let me know what you think which one is better.
thanks

Deck discussion for Withering Away 2.0

I like my mono-black, because you get cards that are much more effective for world-wide wither, like Midnight Banshee and Caustic Crawler. Also, they give your enemy fewer choices (block? not block?), though they do cost more mana.
Really, the difference isn't all that much. You're still withering pretty much anything that you see.
I don't use Soul Snuffers because playing a Kulrath Knight means that all of my creatures are incapacitated. Blowfly Infestation has the same effect when playing decks that aren't heavy on creatures (it will come back to bite you).
If you have time, please comment on my decks. They need it.

I totaly get what you saying, I liked the fact that i have more wither instances to play before crumbling ashes goes off.
Kulrath Knight actually wouldn't affect your creatures because it states only creatures under your Opponents control can't attack/block. So your creatures would be fine if they got a -1/-1.
