Deck Description

Never Done a Bant Deck Before, So Heres An Attempt. I have Faith in My Deck Building Skills So Here We Go, Updates From FNM Around Midnight!

FNM Breakdown.

Round 1

Played against the Caw-Blade Deck with stoneforge mystics. didnt go so well, kept some questionable draws, and was the eventual downside of the match. 2-0 loss on being stupid enough to keep hands without answers or gas.

0-1

Round 2

Played Against a Mono Black infect deck, didnt really need the sideboard for this deck it came short of many mandatory things in a mono black deck. White Sun Zenith as a Combat trick was pretty good, trading a few 2/2's away for hios whole squad and having 4 left to boot, attaching the Sword of Body And Mind and going to town was an Excellent game 1, game 2 i drew day of judgment back to back to back and he overcommited each time and had no real offense, Jace, +2, +2, +2, +2, +2 -12 GG's 2-0

1-1

Round 3

a ha ha...boros...hmm. Well...on turn 3 i was at 8 life. but had casted a 2nd turn explore and hit land drops and a turn 3 Thrun shut off his gameplan pretty fast. Im just saying, Thrun will singlehandedly win you games if you have the mana to regenerate. i didnt for the 1st turn my opponent took after i cast thrun but he had no fetchland to make his goblin guide any bigger with the adventuring gear so i pretty quickly outworked him and he scooped realizing he could never win. Game 2, Slow boros start, mull to 6 kept a 1 lander and never hit another land. heres how the very last play went no turn 4. "I'll Cast Thrun, The Last Troll"..."Goodgames Man, extends hand". Unfortunate it couldnt have been more a game but its magic and it happens.

2-1

Round 4

BUG Ramp...joy. Trading Grave Titan with Wurmcoil = WIN! Troll On Ensuing Turn = Win, Equipping Sword Of Body and Mind to a Celestial Colonnade for Many Attacks - Win. Game 2 His Oracle Of Mul Daya couldnt find him a land for the life of him and Again Celestial Colonnade FTW! Turning point in game 1 Attacking Grave Titan into a Wurmcoil Engine...i trade, gain 6 life and get 2x 3/3s that gain me more life and deal with any other threats with a deathtoucher, john conner (not even kidding thats his name) if your reading this thats what went wrong :P Dont Trade Grave Titan for Wurmcoil Ever! :P Game 2 To Sum it Up. No Lands And i had the Mana Leaks. GG's bud.

3-1

Round 5

B/R Vamps. One Of My good buddies plays this deck. but fortunately i didnt let him resolve a highborn game 1, Day'd the Field and bashed with thrun over and over game 1 for the win. Game 2 I Sided in The Journey's and hit all his bloodghasts :P haha tooo baaddd....Then Sword Of Body and Mind on the Thrun Again ftw. interesting story, he kicked a gatekeeper with a smile hoping thrun was being finished off, but i smiled back and said "not a chance" activated Stirring wildwood and sacrificed it to keep thrun around. :P GG's rob. 2-0

4-1

3rd Place Finish, Not to Shabby for a Throw together Tri-Color deck right john (BUG) were bringin it back. This deck has a strong game against Aggro and Ramp but is a coin toss vs control despite thrun being in the deck, but the swords in the new caw-go make thrun useless so for now theirs not a whole lot to do against u/w. hopefully you'll invest your time and try this deck out. goodluck.
