I've got both in my mill deck. Just think..... both cost five. So, hopefully a turn five drop. Let's do the math. Draw 7, then 5 plus 1 for summoning sickness. So 13 cards. 60 card deck-13 is where the mill starts. 47. That's five turns attacking with nemesis. Now for mirko vosk. The amount of mana people usually use in their decks roughly 20-24. We'll say 24. Turn 6 assuming that the opponent has played a land each turn leaves them with 18 mana in their deck 18/4=4.5 also five turns. So as long as vosk isn't blocked, they are neck in neck... but there is more to consider. Say it's not a turn five drop. It will take ten card draws for nemesis to start gaining ground. But for vosk, people will still aim for getting lands out of their deck. Playing lands, fetch abilities, and the like. Also, remember that people will always have 60 cards in their deck, but often have less than 24 mana.... such as you in this very deck. Which would give vosk an even larger advantage. The only one thing that actually makes nemesis better is one thing - it doesn't have to hit. Simply attacking causes the mill. So..... unless you can make vosk unblockable it's all a matter of opinion. And now you have mine. Black and blue are easy colors to make something unblockable, though....

Giant adephage Giant adephage Giant adephage! Twas made for this deck. The tokens copy themselves, too. Maybe some krosan verge, too. That'd help
Surprised not to see any mirko vosks in this deck. Love the transmutes, though. Cool deck.
I LOVE me some chronomatic escape. Seems kind of a waste not to have at least three. If you play three then you are no longer attack able for the rest of the game.
Deep sea kraken ftw. Getcha something to slow it down. The way this is, you'll be dead before you can deal 20 damage. Try adding some propagandas, too.
This deck is the tits. Love it.
I know there are cheaper things to make a player attack. You can try putting them in here if you wanna make the deck. I decided I enjoyed it more when the opponent had to make a choice of either attacking or losing this massive army he/she has built up. So fun, cause they won't use that army thanks to the mother of runes and wall of nets. Other than that, I'd like to hear what you all have to say along with any recommendations. :)
For more of the same, there's strata scythe, too. Really like the deck.
This deck is super fun to play. If you know of anything that may add counters and give additional effects in one spell, please let me know. Talking like a puncture bolt but inverted. I want to say I remember seeing cards like that but I just can't remember. X(
Meh... your call. But the more spells needed for your combo, the weaker and less likely you will succeed. I mean, you're at twenty+ life. Your sovereign is out. BOOM! You win.
Ball lightning and vengeful fire brand are big haste creatures. Once you've played all four novas, your oppenent is probably below 10 life. If not, maybe you should concede. You did something wrong. Try for two out of three. But if they are, then we need a quick finish. Boom, ball lightning or vengeful firebrand which will have haste since there are four warriors in your graveyard.
A long time ago I used it, but the truth is that when I can drop three mana, it's time to destroy. These games this deck plays are short. If it doesn't speed the deck up, it slows it down. Maybe as a side bar to play elementals and not have them be countered...... besides that I see no use for Incandescent Soulstroke.
Silly goose. Where's your beacon of immortality?
I feel dumb..... assault strobe is my answer to both first strike and a turn 4 kill. Thanks so much for pointing it out!!!!
It is slow. But I like it. I love out of the box decks like this. I think adding some propagandas/ghostly prism/ chronomatic escape type cards could seal it in, though.
Ah yes... Banefire. Forgot all about banefire.
Ever thought about grinning ignus or soulbright flamekin? More cheap creature mana batteries.
Tried having defence before. Didn't turn out so well. But against a control deck, I think you're right. I'll play test that this weekend against one of my friend's blue controls. I'm thinking it'll be an excellent side board.
Please tell me what you think. Or if you see room for improvement I really wanna know.
Totally noticed the standard after the post. I'd simic charm all the way. So much versatility.
