Deck Description

A surprising strat using a vast amont of eldrazi spawn to cause huge damage with stampede, coat of arms, and broodwarden. Usually works by turn 5, or the more common eldrazi choice, putting out some form of giant eldrazi card

Deck discussion for Eldrazi Overwhelm

Just an idea I'd like to throw out there... Pennon Blade was made for Rapacious One...

Not a bad idea; although, that was the idea I had using coat of arms

Coat of Arms backfires if they're using allies though. Also, why no Hedron Matrix?

There's a lot of situations where a Coat of Arms backfires, but you're also guaranteed to have a lot of large spawns. What about Skittering Invasion?

to me, skittering invasion costs too much for what it actually does, when i have things like brood birthing and creatures that can get more spawn, and then I can use the creatures power for overwhelming stampede

Hedron matrix is a good idea I'll have to think about. I think coat of arms and overwhelming stampede are probably enough, but it might be a nice addition

And I put in coat of arms fully knowing that it could backfire, but I can always take it out against an ally or tribal deck, or just not use it. That's what stampede is for.

Also, this deck really isn't about putting all your eggs in one basket so to say with a giant eldrazi card. It has a bit more of the element of surprise by using a green deck strategy for eldrazi. Sure, summoning emrakul or beefing up one creature is an alternative strategy that I use fairly often, but most of the time I win by doing 40 damage with an army of eldrazi spawn and a 4/4 broodwarden, or something like that. It definitely takes most people by surprise who are expecting emrakul, kozilek, or ulamogg
