As I was perusing recent price drops post-rotation, I was astounded to see how much cheaper Thragtusk had become. I also checked Restoration Angel who also dropped in price. These factors combined with some cards I realized I already had inspired me to make a Naya Midrange deck.
The goal of this deck is to achieve a critical mass with your board presence and overwhelm your opponent for the victory. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------There are a few ideal situations you want to occur while playing this deck:1) Early Mana ramp. Your ideal first turn involves a forest and an Avacyn's Pilgrim, so you can then play another land turn two for a turn two Loxodon Smiter, Blade Splicer, or Kitchen Finks. If you don't have this situation, at least try to have a Rampant Growth in your opening hand and something playable by turn 3.2)Try and make use of Restoration Angel's Ability. Most of my creatures do something as they enter the battlefield, so Restoration Angel allows you to activate them more than once.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Restoration Angel Combos- Save a creature from taking combat damage or being the target of a spell.-Surprise block.-Bounce Blade Splicer for another 3/3 Golem.-Bounce Kitchen FInks for 2 life.-Bounce Thragtusk for 5 life AND a 3/3 Beast.-Bounce Inferno Titan for 3 damage divided as you choose.-Bounce Huntmaster for 2 life and a 2/2 Wolf.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------TipBouncing a Kitchen Fink while he already has a -1/-1 counter on him is much more efficient than when he doesn't. When he temporarily leaves the battlefield he loses all counters. If you achieve this this is basically what happens barring a few situations:-Play KF, gain two life.-It dies, comes back with -1/-1 and you gain 2 more life.-NOW if you can bounce him, he loses his counters, comes back in and you gain 2 more life.-Dies again, comes back and you gain 2 life.-THEN they can finally kill it.He essentially has four lives this way.
