Deck Description

This deck is based off of Wee Will Kiln You by eunhathes.

http://www.mtgvault.com/eunhathes/decks/wee-will-kiln-you/

So this deck is pretty simple you just get a creature out and a bunch of spells and swing once for a win.

MAINBOARD

Creatures:
- Blistercoil Wierd: super cheap attacker and meat shield.
- Kiln Fiend: for cheap but very affective assault.
- Nivix Cyclops: not as cheap but also has decent defense as well as offense.
- Guttersnipe: simply to burn the enemy as you are buffing your own troops.

Enchantments:
- Wild Defiance: quite obvious that it just buffs further the creatures being targeted by spells.

Instants:
- Brute Force: simple 3/3.
- Dispel: another cheap counter use for more defense if needed.
- Giant Growth: simple 3/3.
- Groundswell: simple 2/2 but with a land 4/4.
- Manamorphose: two mana for two mana and a card also adds to spells cast.
- Mizzium Skin: another hexproof spell just to let them survive.
- Ranger's Guile: 1/1 hexproof just to keep them safe.
- Redirect: basically works the same as a counter.
- Vapor Snag: used to bounce enemy creatures while doing small damage.
- Warriors' Lesson: second thought about offensive spells and card draw.

Sorceries:
- Assault Strobe: simple doublestrike.
- Distortion Strike: another 1/0 and unblockable twice! Guaranteed.
- Flesh // Blood: the blood part helps you guarantee the damage is done.

Lands:
- Forest: green mana.
- Island: blue mana.
- Mountain: red mana.

I did basic lands for fast mana that's untapped also I formatted the lands to be formal like the rest. XD

SIDEBOARD

Sorceries:
- Armed // Dangerous: gives double strike and +1/+1.

Instants:
- Flusterstorm: very good counter spell after attacking and using all those spells someone tries to one shot your creature well I just used X spells and you used 1 so now pay 1+X to cast that spell.
- Titan's Strength: 3/1 and scry 1.
- Triton Tactics: second thought about offensive spells.
- Turn Aside: another good counter for anything really.

How to Play

Get out creatures, Wild Defiance, and a hand full of instants. Win.

Flusterstorm isn't modern legal.

Force spike is modern legal. Choose whichever is cheaper, or be a maniac and use both (=.

If I have to say one thing, I have to say I seriously LOVE the deck name! It is awesome!
All the cards that I can suggest are Wee Dragonauts and Armed//Dangerous.

Good deck by the way.

I just felt I didn't need the wee dragonauts because they were just weak flying cyclops and I don't really need flying with the two unblockable cards and I will check out armed/dangerous thanks for your comment :D

I agree with Northern, the name is awesome. I admit - I came here thinking this deck wasn't going to blow my socks off.

I should have known better by now.

You sir have made my day. I love the synergy of Izzet with green instants.

I think some Izzet Cards might be of use to you. Check my post near the bottom.

Dude, consider this: Goblin Guttersnipe, Echo Mage, Goblin Electromancer, or Isocron Scepter. 'Nuff said. (Well, electromancer is built more for splashable spells, so he's not as much of an engine here.

Also, think about adding multicolored lands in this deck. Examples are Steam Vents and Simic Guildgate.

I am sticking to basic lands for a reason but thanks for the guttersnipe.

On a different note, I suggest that you trade some of the instants for red burn. Also, totally put the 2 target spells, like Warrior's Lesson, in your main deck. Finally, bring in those counter magicks.

Basically, with a little more removal this deck is a beast (well, more of a beast, since it's already a beast).

Also, could any kind-hearted souls spare a moment to look at my decks-in-progress? They are dubbed Good (K)night or Pentarch Nemesis.

I did some of those things and I will when I get the time thanks.

I agree with adding Guttersnipes just for the number of instant's in your deck. Although I'll have to disagree on the Electromancers..... Most of his spells are one mana. Electromancer would have little to no purpose.

Yeah, good point. But don't shun the other 2 cards!

Isochron scepter would be awesome ... it works well with 2 mana instants, especially fuse cards. Also, it is one of 2 cards that actually CAST copies (the other being eye of the storm). I.E., it triggers abilities and is a valid target, unlike regular spell copies like the ones from Fork and Echomage. The logic is that the copy never came into play from another zone, or it originated from a creature ability. The scepter copies a spell in the exile zone, then brings it onto the battlefield, so it technically cast the spell.

Echomage would be a cool alternative to Fork, plus he is ridiculously powerful at his top level. How powerful? He makes lava axe competitive. His ability is a slightly less powerful version of Chandra's ultimate. He makes Jace jealous.

What more could you ask for? Cheaper leveling? Bring Goblin Electromancer along.

Mainboard Dispel instead of Flusterstorm. You need a hard-counter for Fog spells. I would say Guttersnipe is too slow for this deck. Wild Defiance or Cyclops are much better 3rd-turn plays, and you don't want too many 3-drops in a deck that can win as fast this this can. Fling and/or Flesh // Blood would fit well, methinks. One Giant Growth on Kiln Fiend or Cyclops with a Wild Defiance in play, attack for 10, Fling or Blood for 10 more damage. Any time you can turn 3 mana into 20 damage, you should do that.

Lovely concept, in any case. The deck is perfectly nasty just like it is if you keep it that way.

I really think Isocron scepter would work here. It combos well with fuse cards, since you can cast either half if it's under 2 CMC.

Maybe sideboard Redirect for the hilarious art and flavor text? (And some gnarly defense against instants).

The reason I don't want isochron scepter is because this is more of a one swing and you're done type of deck so repeating isn't really necessary.

So I heard that manamorphos on a stick was a thing. Since you don't really have card draw, why not use phyrexian stuff (eg: http://www.mtgvault.com/kjsj3/decks/legacy-infect/)? How often do you find yourself needing land?

You have come a long way with this deck. Good job!

Since you are not concerned with legality, Counterspell or Redirect might give headaches to your opponent, and more importantly they are fun to play. Nothing is cooler than throwing a massive monkey wrench into the best laid plans. Some Unsummon's would be welcome, since you really need a removal spell for a troublesome creature.

Also, consider balancing the lands to the mana occurrences.

Finally, I beg you to reconsider Isocron Scepter and Multicolored lands. The latter is especially useful; if you play multicolored decks, you'll find yourself using them often. Isocron may be a tad slow, but it can use the same spell over and over (you have a lot of 2 CMC spells), buffing your creatures, and it works well with multicolored spells.

Sorry, I'm just a little "White-washed". You know how White players consistently plan for longer games. Oh well.

Unsummon is a weaker Vapoursnap though? Wouldn't that be better, the rest is awesome advice!

Dude, I totally forgot about Snap! Thanks for reminding me! That's the evil combo with Isochron Scepter that I couldn't think of! Lol, infinite free Unsummon's ... that's what makes Jace jealous.

Darn it ... here it is ... since Isocron Scepter casts copies, they are legal targets for Echomage! Which means ... during your opponent's turn, for 2 mana activate Isocron Scepter w/ Snap imprinted and then Echomage's copy ability with UU. Rid yourself of 3 pesky creatures. Then untap 6 lands. Then laugh manaically and spend that 6 mana right before your turn. The best part is that both Isochron Scepter and Echomage harass your enemy as you set up the combo, and still work well if one or the other is lost.

This combo is so ridiculous, Wizards nerfed it. Echomage's copies, along with ALL other spell-copies, were ruled to be not cast regardless of what the card said. This is most notable with Fork. The ONLY exception to this ruling were Isocron Scepter and Eye of the Storm. There are 2 main reasons:

This was done to prevent ridiculous buffs on Izzet creatures like Kiln Fiend.

The revised rules for Isocron Scepter (which are not on the card but overrule that text) state that the original spell is exiled, so the copy technically enters the battlefield from a zone that legally allows for casting. (eithet the hand or the exile zone). Spells are not considered cast from the library or graveyard, only put into play.

Use whichever definition which is nicer for you. My point is simply that Isocron Scepter is very potent and highly unique.

And no, I haven't read the entire comprehensive rulebook, just the 1st half! XD
