The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

I have about 0 hours of Modern play, this is my first 'real' competitive Modern deck, and one I hopefully get to assemble during the course of the next many many months.
Actually my inspiration came from a well-known Vault-user: "surewhynot - with his 'I put a spell on you'"

Thanks a bunch ! :D

His deck can be found here:

Check it, and hopefully your personal muse will give you ideas to mingle with =)

How to Play

Well... since I never played Modern, I would assume to reap the World-wind from step 1.
Get as much of your opponent's cards in his or her graveyard, and start Extracting from thy foe.
I guess it lacks some draw spells, but I wouldn't know what to replace... Maybe you have an advice to help it along?

Deck discussion for Modern Experiment vol. III

How on earth did "I put a spell on you" inspire this? It looks great, and fast...like really fast. I do worry about it topdecking really early on because of that speed. Not sure how you could add in some card draw, but I think that might help.

Hey man =) Well, it's genuinely simplistic; "I put a spell on you" inspired me to try to be as evil as possible, so I put a few thoughts in the cauldron and ended up with: 'Well, personally I don't like discard... Don't like my stuff to be countered either... Burn is wicked, and what's up with that extraction, bro?!. Jebus H ! Why not a mix of all of the above and see where we'll end ]:-3' to boot, a slight pinch of control.

I hope it will serve as intended, but first I need cash, to collect all the missing pieces, and that's up to a higher power (read: wifey's fundings) to decide

Thanks for the compliments - I'll search my brain for an answer to draw cards. At first glance it could be removing 2 - 4 Lands for x4 of Gitaxian Probe

I told you the evil challenge should never have died Sure.

And this thing is quite interesting, it's not your average Grixis Tempo, but it has the power to stay right there with it it seems. I don't know how I feel about Psychic Surgery though, it's either absolutely freaking amazing in a MU, or only activated by your Extirpate effects... It seems like it might be more efficient to run those in the SB, and have either the card draw as Sure suggests, or a nice counter.

Thanks, Jens =) I'll definitely do some heavy thinking on the Surgeries - A card draw, plus knowing what to discard seems.. well.. it's bloody evil ! Yes.. yeah, I'll remove them in favor for Gitaxian Probe, thanks a bunch ! :D
