Thanks, Holmes :) But I am not the one to be praised for this work - DedWards is. He is the source of inspiration for this deck

I think its cool you build decks which essencially are made to battle your own :D
I don't know much about standard, but this looks evil - B/G are my favorite two colours, have you thought about Evolving Wilds + Overgrown Tomb?

The fetch-lands is a way to get the mana you need *when* you need it, and they make your library "thinner" by giving you basic lands, either tapped or not. The so-called "pain-lands" are better because, they make the land you're fetching come into play *untapped* as opposed to Evolving and Expanse, which makes a huge motherload of difference. At the small price of 1 life you've actually removed 2 lands in your deck (the fetch, and the fetched) which improves your next draw, and logically should be the card you need, meaning; you're more likely to draw your Llanowar Elves or Nath of the Gilt-Leaf, or... or... or... and not a land, which you already have.
I know it sounds complicated, but trust me... Fetch Lands work...!

Hey man, no problem :) Glad to help. Well, its not a mandatory rule to play with 60 cards minimum, however, when you play with *fewer* cards (and perhaps x4 of everything besides basic Lands) you have statistically higher chances of drawing the cards you really need and want for any possible scenario, and a quicker victory.
That's why some, for example, says: "The deck need to be more consistent" - Which basically means, run 4 of everything (except basic Lands) and have a maximum of 60 cards total.
*However* ! ! ! This game is called MAGIC: because, you can play (almost) any way you want, and the game keeps changing because of new Core and expansion sets :)

Cool. Yeah, I get why the Maelstrom, but how would you compare Evolving Wilds to Verdant Catacombs? The Wilds are nice, but Verdant is much much better - Sorry, I don't mean to sound like a douche :-/ I really like this deck - and, of course, it's yours and yours alone :)

I sense you're playing in a "heavy" enviroment. Are you by any chance playing for Ante?

I like this one, Boris - I've personally never been that great at making RDW's, but you've succeeded AND kept it Standard (a format I'm also somewhat a stranger in) I'd love to get me some Vexing Devil's, but where I order they are heavy costed :-/
My advice for you has nothing to do with your deck here, and then again, it does...
If you own any Vexing Devils IRL... Keepsake them forever, until the day when you have to retire, then sell your playset and buy a RW or a BMW for the money ;-)
Great deck, the curves of it are hot !

Hey man, why are you apologizing? There's no need for that :-) I welcome you reply, not repel it :-) You've actually given me something to think about, because Strength of the Tajuru is a bomb of a card, and you have no reason whatsoever to feel sorry for that - :-)

Gilt-Leaf Ambush is one of the cornerstones in this one, being an instant, potentially give Deathtouch to two creatures, and lets you know what the top card of both your own, as well as opponents really matters

Bloodgift Demon is flat out right for this - thank you ! I have had him under my lens before, but back then he seemed to just not fit. I see now that he'd fit in instead of Abby :)
Thank you Boris :D

Holy smokes this is brilliant ! ! !
I would suggest some more "Impersonators" like 'Clone' and 'Vesuvan Doppelganger', but you already have Cryptoplasm.
The only card I can come up with at this time is "Lobotomy" And I don't even know if it would fit in. I think this is a very cool deck, man. Very well built :D

Hi Kazzong and thank you for commenting on my deck :)
I just looked up Strength of the Tajuru, looks really cool, and I'm actually thinking of printing a playset out as proxies, but what the heck should I replace it with?
I was thinking Essence Warden, but she works very well as a magnet for all sorts of spells ):-))

Spooky... I thought Legacy *was* a kind of casual. I don't have the funds for Vintage and/or Standard. Officially I'm on a break from MtG, but I'm still active play-wise, well... sort'a haha
Thanks for your help so far :D

Also, Elf Tribal spells can be fetched with Harbinger ;) Just a sidenote.
Nath of the Gilt-Leaf in color correct, but I doubt it'll serve your deck much benefit :-/
