Deck discussion for A Curse Upon You!

Nice deck, Id suggest some bitterheart witches, but besides that I dont see you having trouble keeping the board wiped. Here is my deck if your looking for alternate ideas

Thanks, my only problem with the witches is that their trigger is when they die. So I will playing a 5-mana creature, and either swing for 1 damage a turn at that point, because my opponent won't want to kill it, or use my own removal spell on it. To me, I would just rather have another curse in hand. And part of the fun of this deck is that it is creatureless.

i can see this working well, my only thought to it is curse of echoes and curse of exhaustion might work against you if the player can only cast 1 spell. but then its a shutdown deck ment to drain life and laugh at them while they try to figure out how to overcome it

Exactly, and one reason the Curse of Echoes is there is that against any blue deck, if they try to counter anything, I'll copy the counter and use it against them.

but the witch does have death touch so might be just a poke but throw in some instances to pump the damage up and bam dead in 2 turns

just curious where are u getting the 2 white mana from to play curse of ehaustion? or do u plan to curse misfortune into it and attach it that way

Exactly that, that is why there is only one of them in the deck. And although it is not the only way, that is probably the main way that Curse of Echoes will hit the field as well.

My friend plays a casual deck like this. He uses bitterheart witch with unburial rites, which works pretty well to get curses out, plus take out a couple creatures. Just a thought, you could run a couple isolated chapel's for the White flashback.

Deck Edit: I decided to take out the Curse of Exhaustion. I realized that if I get a Curse of Misfortunes on my opponent that there are several other curses that I would rather tutor for.

This looks great, I love that it's creature-less. I don't really have any useful thoughts, other than holding your Distress/Despise until you get curses on the board, like Death's Hold. Thumbs up!

You would suggest holding the them in hand. The Distress/Despise are in there to be able to remove creatures that my kill spells couldn't deal with before they hit the battlefield so that I'd be able to survive until I can get some curses on the board.

Well I admit it's situational. My thought was to hold on to them until your curse is on the board, then remove the cards that can actually deal with the curse or aren't impacted by it, such as a big creature, but I suppose it would be better to watch their mana, and play Distress/Despise when it reaches an amount you don't like.

Also, either one lets me look at their hand, so playing in the first couple turns lets me know what they have and what to play around or what be ready for.

i dont think you can cast mana leaks consistently on turn 2/3 with only 4 blue mana producing lands and two fixers. maybe you should play more dual lands. drowned catacomb, sulfur falls and dragonskull summits.

These deck work pretty well once you get the Witch out, or whatever curse suits the opponent, or a curse of Misfortunes. Until then it's a struggle.
I'd suggest adding a Bitterheart witch as well as a board wiper, which both you can contribute from (by killing the witches) and of course killing the opponents stuff.
Curse deck really need the early blockers to get out the first Witch/Curse of Misfortunes in order to get going, I dont think all these burn spells would be a viable option to be honest. That's my 2cents anyways, take a look at my deck if you're interested.

Since you're going casual, what about copy enchantment? You could use it alongside any of your other enchantments but it would be particularly vicious when used on Curse of Bloodletting or Thirst. Even with Misfortune you have the ability to then put curses on faster.
