Deck Description

I've been wanting to create creatureless decks for a while now, they intrigue me and my friends question why I would want to make such decks. I guess it suits my passive nature, lmao.

Deck discussion for Blood for the Blood Gods

I really like the concept of a creaturless deck, now im gonna have to try one. THis decks seems like it wouldnt work all that often though, i would put in more destroy creature spells or spells to steal creatures, like enslave just in case.

I was thinking of adding Murder and possibly Damnation/Cranial Extraction. What'cha think?

I would try dropping the Dark Rituals, Venser's Journals, and Cranial Extractions. I would replace them with (1) Murder, (4) Hymn to Tourach and (4) Suffer the Past. The Rituals don't seem to help too much here and Venser's and Extractions don't seem to complement the rest of the deck well. Hymn is quite disruptive early in the game and provides more cards to target with Suffer later on. Suffer should work well later in the game with the mana generation potential of Coffers. Your creature destruction looks good for helping to fill your opponent's graveyard as well. I really like the Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond - not sure exactly how they work together but looks like an infinite life gain/loss combo. Sign in Blood is nice here as well - you get two cards with life you should be able to recover fairly easily or use it on your opponent to finish, especially when paired with Dreams. Hope this gives you some ideas to share with your friends...

Thanks for the input, I never thought of those cards. I think I was trying to do too much of everything and not focusing on a single goal.

One think that i would definitely do is keep the 4x of the exquisite and sanguine blood, that combo is your best bet, especially if your up against a lifegain deck. at the very least have the other 2 copies of each on a sideboard. also think about murder vs go for the throat or geths verdict or grasp of darkness. i prefer grasp of darkness and geths verdict just because they can take out indestructible and shroud/hexproof. I dont think you had tainted aether in the deck last time i checked, that was a killer card for a deck like this

Yeah, I recently added Tainted Aether and it's been pretty bomb if I get it out fast enough...causing most people to give up the duel xD I just wish Damnation wasn't so bloody expensive to get...think Killing Wave'd make a suitable replacement or even better a permanent replacement?

Cool deck, BMN =) I made one a little similar, it punishes for Card Draw and has a infinite loop w. Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank. I really like that this is creatureless, so a very deserved +1 from me =)
If you want, check out mine - I also would like to add Suffer the Past, but don't know what to replace

Thanks man ^^ though I was debating on putting bloodchief ascension and mindcrank in...but I love the combo with sanguine bond and exquisite blood too! Argh! xD

Might consider replacing a temporal extortion and some of your mana ramp cards and/or underworld dreams...but even so it seems very effective as it already is~

Thank you =) Temporal Extortion Works Wonders late game, but can come in handy early on too. Sanguine Blood is a nuke of a combo. Although it has been seen before, I think yours stand out from the crowd by taking the punishment to a very sadistic level, haha
