This deck aims to gain life through Illusions of Grandeur and thus kill opponents with loss of life via Sanguine Bond (plus Donate and Boomerang, if there are more people alive). Counter, Boomerang, and the two types of walls are used for general board management and defense. The Boomerangs can also be used to bounce back Illusions of Grandeur to recast for another killing blow if Donate is not available.
