Deck Description

Lots of plain green insects. I\'d like to get this down to 60 cards, so suggestions for what to cut/add or how to speed up would be appreciated.

The spawning pit is in case I run into a Wrath/Damnation.

Deck discussion for Vanilla Insects

You don't need Spoawning Pit, you don't need Gauntlet of Power: what you need is Cloudstone Curio and all those creatures that make effects when put into play. THEN you'll have your horde of insects.

I'd be really wary of running ambush commander in a deck that only runs forests for mana generation. Wrath will not only kill all your creatures, but leave your mana base gone too.

Run some search to tutor up your living hive, That appears to be your beat stick.
Summoner's Pact is Type 2, Chord of Calling is as well. Worldly Tutor is Legacy. Also Survival of the Fittest is good, but pricey.

Altar of Bone would be a good possibility, but splashes white.

this deck feels like a strange saproling deck, but with insects. Living hive seems to be your biggest generator and the only way you seem to be trying to win is with mass insects and mass effects for those insects. I also have an insect deck [Insect Invasion] but yours is just about the endless swarm of insects kind of like how killer ants kill a big thing. Just go over the deck to find decks that aren't needed in the deck and get rid of the spawning pit... it's not needed.
