I went 3 - 1 at FNM last friday, so I'm pretty happy with how the deck performed. I found it did a lot better vs mid-range creature filled decks rather than combo/dredge control. I lost my one match against splinter twin (0 - 2). (one of the losses due to pact of negation, the other due to my own mistakes in timing when casting removal). I had a very close match-up vs dredge control, and another close game vs a zombie re-animator deck where both matches went to game 3.The deck itself I made out of cards I had lying around. I'm planning on getting Siege Rhinos/Reveillark and make a deck that has a strong focus on ETB effects and lifegain/lifeloss. The planeswalkers had a huge impact on stabilizing the board - especially with ob nixilis' ability to draw. I also want to replace Avacyns Pilgrim with Birds of Paradise.Ultimately while I kind of threw this version of the deck together, I would love some advice on how to make it more reliable, and overall a better deck.I know the mana base kind of sucks - it's extremely slow to start, but I never once got mana screwed when play-testing, or when at fnm. The pain lands did kill me one game though. I've never owned any fetches, but am highly considering trading for some - any ideas on fetches/dual shock lands and the ratios?I'm planning on getting 4 Windsweapt Heath, 2 Godless Shrine, 2 Overgrown Tomb, and 2 Temple Garden as the "budget" mana base. Then I'd probably throw in 6-7 basics and 3-4 other slow lands that I already have. How does this sound as a mana base?
