Deck discussion for COMMENT PLZ! DESTROY LAND

Choosing to go three colors with a LD deck is incredibly difficult. You also handicap yourself with the 8 5+ CC cards. I respect how you want to want to destroy land (via Liquimetal Coating and Shatter/Crush, but your setting yourself up for too much dependence on other factors in order to accomplish this.

Therefore, might I suggest going mono-red and focus directly on straight LD cards like Stone Rain, Molten Rain, etc. Red offers a tremendous amount of LD for 3. The key to any LD deck is speed, you really NEED to start popping lands on turn 2. Cards like Pyretic Ritual and Desperate Ritual can help you accomplish this. Red also offers you removal via burn spells such as Flame Slash and Lightning Bolt, both great when you're in a bind or need some breathing room.

I have 3 LD decks posted here on the site, perhaps one of them can help you speed up and/or focus on a faster build.

Mono-Red (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=154811);
Black/White (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=177406);

But the Green/Red build will probably help you most (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=178506). This deck is designed to do what you are trying to do here, turn lands into artifacts with Liquimetal and popping them that way. Splashing green to your build would allow you to add Splinter, the most violent LD spell you can add to this deck (well, not really LD, but when factored with Liquimetal it is). Take a look at it.

Hope these ideas help. If you get a chance, feel free to leave any comments or suggestions on any of the decks I have posted here on the site.

I just realized you were trying to make this Standard, so most of my suggestions probably won't help you.

Sorry.
