The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Pop out Waste Not along side Liliana's Caress and let the fun ensue with your massive discard spells (Burning Inquiry, Hymn to Tourach, Wheel of Fortune, Windfall). Most useful in a multi-player scenario, but just as effective in 1v1.

Burning Inquiry and Liliana's Caress isn't fair! I had no idea Windfall was banned in Legacy!!! I have a few of them lying around. Only thing that scares me is your lack of creatures. I get the idea...if your deck is fast enough, no creatures will ever be able to attack you. I get it. Something like pyroclasm against your opponent could be a life saver.Hellfire Mongrel is an interesting creature that may work. I do love me some Urza's Guilt. I always tried to force a deck with Guilt/Warped Devotion/Washout/Recoil/CaressI could never make it work though.

Check out my Bouncy Castle deck. That is my Warped Devotion deck that my playgroup hates. :)As for the creatures, I'm not too worried about them since Waste Not will be giving me tokens more often than not (especially with the random discard). Rogue creatures can be handled with the Diabolic Edict's. And Spell Snare can take care of any 2 drop that might be coming my way. Any fast aggro weenie deck will have it's way with this, but against other decks this has a fair shot. Even if I get down pretty low, if I can get at least 2 Liliana's Caress' out, 1 or 2 burning inquiry's can kill your opponents.
Ill-Gotten Gains...i like it with Inquiry/Caress...but it isn't modern. It wins games! Forces discard of every one's hand (like Wheel of Fortune) and then each person gets 3 cards from his graveyard back into his hand. Sort of like Wheel of Fortune/Recoup. You simply have Caress in play...and play Ill-Gotten gains...and you nuke your opponent for 2 damage for each card discarded, then you search your library and get back stuff 3 cards like Burning Inquiry/dark ritual/hymn to tourach. Now you are charged back up with your best discard cards in your hand. Here is my version, back in May, of Inquiry/Caress...if you get a chance to look it over. http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/boring-redblack-discard-deck/Diabolic Edict rocks. The "sacrifices" a creature part is very important! It gets around stuff like Murder misses. Funny, i was looking at the deck i just sent you a link too...and it doesn't have any creatures either. But at least with Waste Not, you have a way to generate them! Good job there.
I'll take a look and see if I can fit it in. Thanks for the suggestions.I love me the creatureless decks. They are risky as hell, but when done right, are pretty damn hard to beat.
Yeah, I like Ill-Gotten Gains a lot. How did I know that you would suggest an Urza's Saga card?+2 Ill-Gotten Gains-1 Wheel of Fortune-1 Recoup
Also, I added my favorite artifact for discard decks. Anvil of Bogarden. Love that card.
You knew because you must of seen one of my rants on Urza's Saga? It rocks!
I run Howling Mine...but yeah, for these types of decks, Anvil is better. Probably need to change my Mines over to the Anvils.
Yep, I think I suggested an Urza's Saga card in one of your decks and you told me it was your favorite set.
Well, you are my friend forever, for suggesting for me to put a Urza's Saga card in one of my decks!!!
Did we just become best friends? Yup!Do you want to go do karate in the garage? Yup!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-ZUDtaGf3I
Or this old chestnut:http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xa5av1_zack-attack-friends-forever_shortfilms
John Stamos...lmao. Yeah, I love that movie. Not a sports fan, and it is very dumb, but I like Talladega Nights: The Story of Ricky Bobby. Freaking A, is that Saved by the Bell cast singing?! My wife, when she gets home, will have that video waiting on the screen for her to watch!I, confession time, watched that crappy show back in the day. Now our 11 year old daughter has started to watch it on Netflix...ugh...lol.
I watched Saved By The Bell every Saturday morning and every day before getting on the bus to go to school. I am 30 years old and this was on during my formative years. I have probably seen every single episode of Saved by the Bell more than once.
Wow, more bro moments. I am also 30. Damn Saturday morning...yeah, we never had cable...and back then cartoons only played Saturday morning (for the most part)...I remember those days. Turning the antenna to try and watch Fox. lol
Get the hell out of town. Where you from? I live in Madison, WI right now but grew up in northern Illinois.
Miles and miles and miles away.In rural, backwoods, southeast Georgia. Still here...blah. lol
I have only been to Georgia to visit the headquarters of The Home Depot in Atlanta. I work for a software company that makes Window and Door configurator software and The Home Depot is one of our customers. Was there back in May.
Lucky you!
