Deck Description

Ok this is the last time I am redoing this deck. I think I FINALLY have it right, adjusted from the playtests the other night. More powerful 5 drops with more ramp to back it up, Planeswalkers for support and some powerful 3 and 4 drops. I mean, I've enjoyed playing around and evolving this deck, but there's only so far I can go.... And this is its "Final Form" to quote Dragonball..... hehaa

How to Play

This had better do very well and or dominate the tournament or I WILL go insane.....

Deck discussion for GWB Tourney Deck (FINAL) V4

I will say this is probably the best version you've had so far. Everything is either immediate impact or pure value, this seems very efficient. Good luck on game day!

Ok final result on game day. We only did 3 rounds.

1st versus the same deck that beat me 0 / 2 the other night - 2 / 0 win. Just demolished him.
2nd versus BUG Shapeshifter / Undying deck - 2 / 0 win. Again, pretty clean sweep
3rd versus WUR control - 2 / 1 win. Got me on the second game with Assemble the legion x 2. Just too many soldiers at once.

Came first for the day, won me a nice ass Maze's End playmat :) YYEAAH!!!!

Pretty much I had an answer for everything with this deck. Easily the 2 stars of this deck were Obzedat and Loxodon smiter. You shoulda seen the look on the guy with control deck's face :) Oh Loxodon smiter.. Umm ok...

If you're playing that Carpet midrange deck I'm sure you'll be fine. The only thing that worries me is you have no 3 drops. But if you reckon you don't need em, good luck anyway for the day. Let me know how you go.

Played again today in second game day. Results are --

1st round - Had the Bye
2nd round - 2 / 0 win against Jund haste / immortal servitude deck
3rd round - 2 / 1 win against Esper enchantment deck.

Won second game day, but gave the playmat to one of the other guys who didn't have one. I'm not greedy.

I'm going to take this deck to another place where there are even more competitive players. See how it goes there. If it wins or goes well, hell I reckon I've made a deck worthy to take to the pro tours, which is pretty exciting :)

This deck has been altered since coming across a few mirror matches. Improving this deck as it sees more play at different tournaments.

I'm terribly sorry but do you realise how old this deck is?? Burning earth didn't even exist when this deck was made or played, so your comment is stupid and irrelevant.... Maybe next time you should look at the date of the deck before commenting about cards that can counter a deck that isn't even played anymore....

Furthermore, between thragtusk, obzedat, and blood baron, there's plenty of lifegain to compensate. Also, golgari charm is an easy fix. If he went into a meta with lots of red he could easily swap out a few kill spells for golgari charms.
