After last night, it needed some work as the sideboard was dismal and it struggled. Once it lost it's steam I was pretty much dead in the water and scooped. It went 2-0 first game, 0-2 second game, 2-0 third game, and 1-2 fourth game.

So don't lose all your creatures to it!!! Is it really that hard to figure out?

Because it doesn't help him reach his end goal of spamming tokens. Reckoner belongs in a devotion driven deck, not a token driven deck.

Anger is good, don't get rid of it. Knock out Legion's Initiative for rootborn defenses. Ogre battledriver in this would be devastating.
Mortars is more of a sideboard option if you find anger isn't killing enough

What would reckoners do for this deck? I'll tell you. NOTHING.

The go at the moment seems to be Boros tokens / Purphoros token spam.

It's more of a chance thing. It also depends alot on WHEN you post it. If it's when there is alot of people online your chances are better.

But if it's simply quality of a deck you want to get noticed, do what I do, go to Gavin Verhey's blog, pick a deck you like, copy and paste it, and then make alterations to suit your style of play better. I did it with my recent Chimera Combo Antics deck and it's doing alright.

Or you can just copy a net deck and make your own changes, or pick a theme to focus on.

Or again, similar to what I did, make something so completely ridiculous people just HAVE to comment on it. Like my old Minotaur deck.

@Jace - That's what I do if I really want singles, I'll pay for them outright as it's cheaper in the end. I only buy boxes now to resell the singles and keep certain ones for my own decks.

Then sold all 4 Elspeths for $40 a piece and now I want them for a deck :(

I bought 6 booster boxes and got 4 Elspeths, 3 Ashioks, 1 Xenagos, 4 Thoughtseize, 4 Hero's Downfall. And tons of crappy cheap mythics like Hythonia and Medomai

Playtests showed the hammer to do too well for me when I started to get more than 4 land and can help break a stale game. I took out one of each burn spell and took it down to 21 land. If I find the hammers don't work out of playtests I'll go with what you said and dump em.

I've got it sideboarded for the same reason. Figure I'd focus on going for the quick and then go for the devestating game 2 :)

Finally a deck that takes advantage of tymaret!! If your opponent lets any creature on the field they are looking at a worse case scenario of 4 damage of punishment coming their way.

Personally I'd take out Akroan Crusader and focus closer on abusing Precinct Captain, Akroan Horse and Young Pyromancer. Up to 4 of all 3 and run burn spells and perhaps even guttersnipe for even more bang for your buck. But I love it too

Agree with manofwar51, Nyela and her bow are great in limited, but there are better options for this deck. Some mainboard burn would do well here, and replace the sideboard with some fade into antiquity so to protect yourself from opposing gods.

I only have one anger, so one will have to do me for now. I was trying desperately to get cacklers in, what do you reckon it should replace?
