I like your name too but it was HotPoloPlayer who originally said it :P

"It good deck for home""It no good for competitive play"
I never said it was bad, not once. I was being brutally honest. It's a good deck. For playing at home. And if this is what it's for, great, it's good for that. But that's it. I never tell anyone their deck is bad, that's not in the social atmosphere that magic is set it in. I just appreciate the odd bit of irony here and there.
Ok look at the deck and tell me what mana ramp is in it? Then think, once you've FINALLY gotten all these great slivers out, what next? Topdeck for the rest of the game with an aggro deck? Good luck... What are you gonna do if your opponent wipes the board? Scoop.
Where? I see a lot of opening hands where you'd say, this is good I'll keep this, now I just need - oh wait I've already lost cos I'm still ramping.... and Oh and my hand is empty what will I do now?
Not that part, the "I've found the right sliver deck", when clearly he hasn't. Has this deck even seen play? Cos if it has the name would be more along the lines of "I've found a great sliver deck for playing at home with my mates but other than that not really."
I love how the title of this deck doesn't match it at all. Kinda funny there.
No to DoD, tried it does not work. Too slow. I have 3 Manaweft slivers and 4 Farseeks. Mana is not an issue. Planeswalkers have proven themselves as great support, I would never be silly enough to take them out. CotK is again, too much setup. As soon as it or DoD hits the field, they will be targeted, and I would have wasted a turn putting them out, same goes for Descendant's Path. This deck can win by turn 4 because it has a heavy offense.
Agreed. DoD needs support to stay around and the creatures to benefit from it. Casual tabletop yes. You don't want to be casting DoD, you want to be casting more slivers. SLivers need more Slivers on the field, not a door.
Both valid points. I myself have seen a few Gruul coloured sliver decks. But as you can see in mine I've managed to do the same thing with 5 colours. Battledriver, Aurelia, Legion Loyalist. Well if he's going to stay on the 2 colour scheme at least throw garruk and domri in, I mean it won't be hard to cast Garruk and he keeps your hand nice and full.
Slivers is and always should be a 5 colour deck. With the current mana base available and Chromatic Latern to boot leaves no excuse other than "it's too hard to work out", so I'll play it safe and make a mediocre 2 colour sliver deck missing out on the ability for flying, lifelink and double strike, along with some great supporters. And HotPoloPlayer, here. It's already won one FNM for me and hopefully many more to come.http://www.mtgvault.com/bennyboy777/decks/just-a-sliver-please/
I still don't see a "this is post rotation deck" phrase anywhere from him...
HotPoloPlayer, as BenWare said, if you have played a sliver deck with Manaweft in it, you don't need to worry about mana colours. Ever. He has 4 Manaweft slivers in there but is not taking advantage of that at all. Flying, Lifelink, Garruk, Domri, HELL I run 2 Aurelias in my sliver deck and she untaps them all so they can attack with her in the second combat phase that she gives! Trust me, us Bens know what we're on about :P
I don't see that mentioned anywhere so how am I meant to know?
Ok let's see here. Bonescythe slivers in place of the striking slivers. Ogre Battledriver yes yes and yes. This guys is AMAZING with slivers! Where is Galerider Sliver? You should have at least 3 in here. Sentinel Sliver, you can attack then tap them for more mana second phase. Some Planeswalkers would be good. Domri rade, he's perfect for a sliver deck. New Garruk would be good too. You have Manaweft sliver so mana will NEVER be a problem. NEVER. Legion Loyalist is a great sideboard option. I'd sideboard Ghor-Clan rampager too, but that's personal preference. Other than that, not a bad go at a sliver deck.Check out mine for some more ideas, it's already come first in one FNM.http://www.mtgvault.com/bennyboy777/decks/just-a-sliver-please/
Yeah looks good. Let me know how it goes.
Gas, maybe sideboard savage summoning just in case the opponent mills you out before you are ready, or counters / kills your maniac on you. Don't forget you can Traumatize yourself too ;) Half your deck gone there. Nice idea though. See what you think of mine, basically all about annoying stallers :)http://www.mtgvault.com/bennyboy777/decks/cant-touch-this/
Made a few changes Gas, see what you think!
Slivers needs to be fast, they are aggro based. Gates are way too slow and will ruin you. I'll be playing my Sliver deck at the next FNM, I think it's pretty strong. Your deck gave me some good ideas for sideboard swaps too btw.http://www.mtgvault.com/bennyboy777/decks/just-a-sliver-please/
No it's a deck you bust out when you want people to wish you have the clap.... HAHAHA
