Like the name choice and love the card. ran Elesh in many esper and EDH builds and it tends to do very well as a hero.
Sage of hours was modern, standard, and extended abused the second it was teased. all the sudden mono black is out and anything sage of hours is in. one card turns the world of magic and still waiting for Kruphix God text and lvl
first ability is warrior focused but the second is seperate line and therefore new ruwel (rule). anything with +1/+1 gets the trample warriors just get the effect for entering the field of battle.
i would be pissed playing this with anything other than control... just sayineven then i would be 0-1 into game 2 struggling to get into game 3 and 3 would be even harder after sideboarding... haha rage this deck lol
I cant help but notice...OMG YOU HAVE 14 MANA RAMP CARDS OR 5 MONSTEROUS FACESLAPPERS AND only 2 instant win conditions? 4X THE WAVES and let the sea claim its victims. 6/6 or 8/8 with empty field is BAD news and being hit with this after answering multiple stops before it makes it difficult to handle sometimes. my only other suggestion would be prophet of kruphix for constant open mana and flash speed creatures all in one beautiful 5cmc card. its a prime target however and will be bashed ASAP but great for getting in that turn 5 Kraken. might would run atleast 2 even 3 maybe but that is something you might look into. how many cards are currently in your collection will largely define what you can build obviously that being said, I personally like your color choice as i tend to play simic. switching to standard should be easy to do and would most likely place you in the best possible category of game play as bigger playsets are typically harder to attain (cuz they aint on the shelf at the local store) and tend to be slightly more expensive in my opinion. I would like to see a few more scry lands there if possible, and maybe another guildmage and fathom mage as well. removing/replaceing the non-standard (as you have already pointed out) would be my first move and then move towards possible heavy hitters or some of the more costly cards to add UMPH to the deck a few will do the trick expecially when playing with other starter builds. stay connected and keep building decks because no one deck beat everything ever and someone will always hold the bane of (your deck here) existence. its not like a FFA in SC2 but its similar idea, "I came, I saw, I died horribly and repeatedly." keep your fellow players on their toes with deck changes and switching game strategies (e.g. playing aggro and in same color scheme switch to control type build). this will make you better which increases your friendly opponents skill thus increasing yours even more etc. etc.Good Luck and remeber to have fun!
