New Format: WALL-Y

Main Deck (40 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

My friend made a new format for MTG, just to shake it up:

Main decks are limited to 40 cards, with a max of 3 copies per card.

There is a separate zone for basic lands. Every turn you can choose to draw a card from the main deck, or select any basic land from the land zone and put it into your hand.

There is no limit to the amount or kind of basic lands in the land zone.

There is no limit to the kind of cards for the main deck (although, for sportsmanship's sake, don't abuse this rule).

Any effects for "your library" affects your main deck (so mill decks do not mill from the land deck).

Anyone else interested? Make a deck in this format, we dare you.

The concept of being able to get instant land encourages low-mana decks. I Guess it could be fun, but it does make it easier to have high power rather early, also green mana-ramping becomes almost useless.

Well, yes, some decks are useless with this format. But, as the case is with EDH, it also opens up new possibilities.

The fact that you have to choose between new cards or lands still limits weenie decks.
