This deck is meant to keep you in the game by killing off opposing creatures (Guul Draz Assassin, Vampire Nighthawk, Go for the Throat, Murder, Mutilate) and gaining life (Blood Artist, Crypt Ghast, Vampire Nighthawk, Exsanguinate) until you can get out enough mana (Crypt Ghast, Dark Ritual, Liliana of the Dark Realms, Cabal Coffers) to power your Lashwrithe and Nightmare, as well as boost your other swamp-dependent cards.Any advice would be helpful! Maybe there are more efficient cards to swap in that I don't know about yet? Whatever does change, I want to always keep the main focus around mana and Nightmare. Thanks for checking it out!

You should look into dropping out all the staffs and instead add in exsanguinate. It can kill all your opponents at once especially with all your mana ramp and it gains you life anyhow so it's better than the staff. Also lash writhe would be great here too.

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely edit my deck :)
If you need help against red decks, Drifting Shade and Liliana's Shade are too slow, and Staff of the Death Magus and Tenacious Dead don't do enough. You'll almost definitely need 2 more Mutilates, and a Vampire Nighthawk or 4 can help ward off early attackers. This is a deck that really relies on Swamps, so I also suggest 4 more Swamps and maybe a few Cabal Coffers (not sure if those are budget though) 2 more Doom Blade helps for more removal, and the last 4 slots are up to you, but I find Exsanguinate to be a good finisher. I love this deck though, I just built a similar one myself :)Edit: Ooh shit Lashwrithe is a good choice....
Thank you! I'm doing some editing now, taking what you said into consideration :)
