O-Ring does work, we had it clarified at the pre-release. When O-Ring hits the board it is no longer considered a spell, but rather a white permanent and then its effect triggers. Keep those rings handy.
Holy cow, how did I forget Black Vice. But in this case, Iron Maiden since it's for multiplayer. As far as damaging myself, I will probably replace Phyrexian Tyranny with Iron Maiden since I had a brain lapse.
Yeah, it's been a while since I played seriously. Most of the time its draft with buddies rather than playing in a constructed environment like I used to. That's why almost all my deck lists are, what shall we say, not standard legal. :) But a lot of them are for casual environments so no worries really.
I am definitely open to some faster suggestions. There might have been some quicker red destruction additions to the game since I stopped keeping as up to date as I used to. What would you suggest for red destruction?
Well, like I mentioned in the description, this isn't a perfect deck list. It was actually the cards I had at home in boxes that I could dig out. It would be far easier to build a great land destruction deck if I was just putting together a list without regards to the cards I owned. I was not looking for a control deck, as I have plenty of those already. This was mainly built for the sake of adding a red deck to my repertoire as I never play red. If you look at the list of decks under my profile, almost all of them are composed of cards I actually owned.
This is an old deck and never ran creatures. It's not a fast deck but can deal with creatures. 9 counterspells, 4 Swords, 4 Wraths as well as an early Outpost can provide the necessary defenses to stabilize the board. You can also search up anything you need with Intuition, such as a Wrath if the situation calls for it. The infinite library idea comes from Fact or Fictioning a Gaea's Blessing to our graveyard, or hard casting to reshuffle more removal or counters. But like I said, it is an old deck. When it was extended block it performed amazingly. But that was a long time ago.
Thanks. :)
