This is my attempt at a fresh meat deck. Looking for ideas to improve, I really think there is many more things to be done.

This deck goes hand in hand with a lot of the Jund cards out of the Alara block--I'm particularly thinking about Kresh the Bloodbraided and Scarland Thrinax for this, and maybe more creatures with devour. Also, Doubling Season if you want to spring for them.

I don't really think kresh would help out a whole lot because Hellion Erruption makes him sac all of his creatures (including kresh) for a bunch of 4/4s. then he throws down fresh meat to get a bunch of 3/3s. nowhere in there is there room for kresh to say "Hey look! I'm still here!". However, I would add a second Hellion Eruption in place of an Algae Gharial...
Hellion Eruption + Fresh Meat in one turn = 10 mana, so it'd be a tough one to pull off here. Dragon Broodmother might be another good one for here, especially in multiplayer.
Looks good, I thought about turning my fresh meat deck into R/G but after playing a couple of games with the beastmaster ascensions and awakening zones, there's no way they're leaving the deck (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=225988). You should really think about putting at least beastmaster ascension in there. With spawns you can usually bring out 7 creatures quickly. And with BA, the trick really is to drop it only when you have 7 creatures on the field for a surprise 35 damage attack. On BA, it states that you put counters when a creature you control attacks, so that's before damage. Booyah!
