How can you play burning inquiry and not runeflare trap?

with these colors, you really need to be running 4 jungle shrines.
Cards that are not great for this deck:
Tajuru Archer
Joraga Bard
Borderland Ranger
Trusty Machete

run 2 more highland berserkers (cheap allies are always fantastic) increase the white mana base, and run some kazandu blademasters and ondu clerics. Maybe consider Dauntless Escort, since your allies are particularly vulnerable to removal.

I honestly don't see the big disadvantage of playing voracious dragon.
Unless it gets countered, even if it is immediately removed, it still "comes into play" so its effect is pretty darn useful.

That being said, you're probably going to want to sideboard a few goblin ruinblasters, just to screw over landfall decks. Maybe take out the plated geopede for it?

I'd run some kederekt parasites in here if I were you. More late-game burn with font of mythos and nice early-game triggers for your quest.

Here's the thing: this deck is based around my opponent having a tiny hand (bala ghed, sedraxis specter) so that my creatures can stay alive and hellfire mongrel can burn their pants off.
Also forcing an opponent to repeatedly topdeck is evil evil fun.

I feel like Ajani or Garruk would help this deck a lot more than Elspeth.
