Just me and my Vampire homies. I have ran B/R Vampires in the past and I think with the additions that Mirrodin Besieged has brought with it the mono-black Vamps will do a bit better. Check it out. Let me know what you think. COMMENTS appreciated. EDIT: I changed this up a little bit. I also switched around some of the numbers of the vamps in here. Needed the hexmages for the overwhelming capabilities of the Planeswalkers I am sure to face. Sideboard was completely redone. Just love them Skinrenders.

Hi beelang, like your deck. Was thinking that the Pulse trackers won't be attacking much being 1/1 once your opponent puts up any defence. The Guul Draz Vampire is a stronger one drop. Also the SkinRenders are great I would move them into the main deck to give your deck some teeth in the first game. I put up a black deck yesterday "Vampire Playground" it has 10 black flyers. Good luck.

Although it would be a good thing to put the Skinrenders in mainboard, I am really trying to keep the curve as low as possible. I have 7 three-drops and that is a bit more than i originally planned for. The idea for the deck is the combo that Kalastria Highborn produces with a great chance that the Blade of the Bloodchief will trigger a few times as well. and with the Pulse Trackers, they are really only there to get some early life lost. Even if the get stomped early, they did their job for one black mana. (and hopefully trigger either of the combo-machines.)
Also, I added in the SB some Marsh Casualties. Just for those pesky aggro decks. :)
I've never played vampires before, but noticed a lot of decks use sac lands. What is the benefit of this when you can only search for a swamp?
The only reason I have them in this deck is for the Bloodghast. If I sacrifice Bloodghast to any of the creatures that have the ability, I can always fetch for a swamp and bring the Bloodghast right back into play. you can sac him to scry 1, then put 2 +1/+1 counters on a creature that is equipped with the blade. Then you lay down a fetch land and bring him back in. Sav him again to repeat the process. Then you can sac the fetch land to do it again. and everytime a vamp goes into the graveyard with Kalastria Highborn out, I can also gain 2 have opponent lose 2. it's fun. :)
