Deck Description

A deck I have built. I used to use Undead Alchemist along with some milling enchantments and milling spells. But the milling feature felt like it NEVER worked. So I decided to go straight black zombies (except for the Diregraf Captains).

I have this deck along with the sideboards (which really isn't much of a sideboard, just a bunch of cards I cant decide on putting in). Tell me what you think.

Deck discussion for Zooooooombies...

just 1 army of the damned ans 3 unbreathng horde to have the gravecrawler as a set. altar's reap may help for card draw, looks like you got too many kill spells

Yeah, I got rid of all my mill cards and replaced them with a bunch of kill cards.

Oh I see this combo... Gravecrawler sacrifice, and draw 2 cards with Altar's Reap. Im liking that one already!

Let me ask tho, Geralf's Messenger, could I pair Altar's Reap with him (the first time)? Also, a question about the function of his card... when Geralf's Messenger returns to play the second time (becoming a 4/3) does it also do an additional 2 damage?

Yes, he does do his damage again.

Question I have, looking at the Grimoire or Zombie Infestation... I like the thought of pairing these cards with Zombies like Gravecrawler and Vengeful Pharaoh. Is this a viable combo?

I like were u going with this, but why not take out 2 boom blade, and put in 2 grave titan. They will do wonders in your Endless R... and Army of the damned

I thought about it... and I will think about it again. But I dont like having alot of expensive end game, drop the hammer and win cards. Cause if i draw 2 with my opening hand, i get pissed and generally always take the muligan.

I donno... I have all of these cards except for the Grave Titan now... (or I will... I just ordered them all)

So I will tinker with it... find my optimal combos and lineups.

Thats why he stated, "(which really isn't much of a sideboard, just a bunch of cards I cant decide on putting in)." in the header. :)

Nice deck by the way...

Ghaaaaa...... there are too many cards I wanna throw in to make combos happen.

I like the Zombie Infestation and Grimoire for the simple fact that I can put the Gravecrawler and Vengeful Pharaoh directly into the graveyard (which combos with Infestation to pump out some 2/2 tokens) and the Grimoire (to drop the hammer and force a near-game-over situation). Not to mention Gravecrawler can still be played from the graveyard and the Pharaoh to protect from attackers.

But I did change up the deck...

I dropped the Doom Blades, and added Altar's Reap. Not only does it allow me to sacrifice a zombie and deal 1 damage from the Diregraf Captain, but I also draw 2 cards to give the deck a boost to production.

I like this change.

However... I am now having second thoughts about Grimgrin. With the Gravecrawler and Geralf's Messenger, he can get HUUUUGE easily. And we all know Grimgrin can kill target creature... which just adds to the control. Not to mention... paired with the Diregraf Captain... makes sacing zombies easy and deal some damage.

Tell me... Im torn...

Ok, in my current deck construction... How would you fit in two Grave Titans?
