Deck Description

The method in this deck is by incremental short-term mana acceleration (Lotus Bloom, Rite of Flame, and Seething Song). That nine mana is used to play the namesake card, Dragonstorm. Conveniently, a Lotus Bloom suspended on the first turn will end up played on turn four. Along with a Seething Song, a Rite of Flame, and some land drops, you should be able to play four Dragons… If they are Bogardan Hellkites, that is 20 to the head! Hunted Dragon is present in this deck for two reasons: One: At higher storm count, you want to be able to deal more damage (here haste to deal 6 instead of comes into play to deal 5), and two: Sometimes you draw a Hellkite.

Credit for the awesome! Makihito Mahara!!!

Deck discussion for Turn 4 DRAGONS!

how you make your islands and mountains out is actually a bit annoying for a lot of people, just put a proper next to it next time so that it would be easier to see the potential of the deck.

I like all your cards that are there to ramp up your mana source, its a bit wide open to a lot of things. Maybe adding different control cards like counter spell, stoic rebutal, counter, any card that can prevent your opponent from building up before you do.

Nice deck though :D

It's got some nice ideas man. I want to build a dragon deck some day. The one's if seen are almost always more than 1 color. I want to build just a straight red dragon deck. Also good work on the mana ramping here. I have several of these cards and wanted to see how they could work together for red. good job.

Oh and I've also pulled off a win with it on my 2nd turn although I average turn 3/4. A turn 1 win exists in mine, but I have yet to pull the required cards.

This is almost an exact copy of the the 2006 world champion deck (Makihito Mahara). You could at least give the guy some credit.

Manamorphose. may seem like a pointless card but it works in perfeclty in a dragonstorm deck. Dragonstorm is by far the best way to play a dragon deck deck. check out mine and let me know what you think. I put a lil different spin on mine.

I have a mono red dragon deck that is more of a beatdown than a burn type deck... but like any red deck it has elements of both. A card that i find very vital is Browbeat. Its the only mono red draw spell i know of and lets you either draw 3 cards of deal 5 damage to your opponent (either effect is good). Since you're gonna be burning through cards like no other i suggest getting some draw spells like the aformentioned browbeat or perhaps tidings (something along those lines).

If you're looking for a cheap card to play to help you with storm, you could try adding ponder. It'll let you put 3 top cards in order, draw you a card, and help you with your storm.

This looks pretty solid for sure, I love playing dragons. Try adding some Dragonspeaker Shamans They are 2/2 for 3(two red mana, one colorless) and their effect allows all dragons to be cast for two colorless mana cheaper. Check out my Dragon based deck. It's super SUPER heavy hitting and it mana ramps like crazy so I get a ton out. I never fail to get a dragon out, ever haha. I had three Dragonspeaker Shamans out today and a dragon that normally costs 1 Red and 5 Colorless mana only cost me 1 red mana. It's like dragons on sale.

seems tight enough..... but i think theres a lot to account for when your trying play so many spells at once. any good blue deck should be able to counter this deck pretty effectively. see i have a dragon that relies on some more simpler ways to summon big dragons fast.
