Slows down the rush! Think about, very fastpaced killn deck!

not my style of a burn, however its not terrible. also drop the planeswalker the object of this deck is to clearly burn as fast as possible, drawing that would just slow you down.

Well chand nalaar doesn't have summoning sickness so right away 2 turns ill do 2 damage and on the 3rd ill sack em for the 10 damge, how is it slowing?

and if he is, what can I replace him with?

up to you, valakut (land) would be a good call in there somewhere, though sence your not running with 60 cards id only put one or two in.

So keep the plainswalker, and add 2 valakuts? Reason I have low card usage so I can draw the right cards faster

0

Only bad thing about valakut, is that it comes intapped andthat wastes a turn to use, not fast enough for this deck

I think you should play Spark Elemental, Seething Song, Breaking Point
and Burning Wish.

Spark Elemental comes in the first turn and deal 3 damage.
Seeding Song let you play Chandra Nalaar in the 3 turn.
Breaking Point destroy all creatures unless your opponent take 6 damage. Your creatures will be distroyed at the end of turn. So you can clean up the field an play an Elemental to deal damage or your opponent take the 6.
You should play many different cards in your side board to get the right one with burning wish if you need it.

i love breaking point! first time ive seen that card. what reason do you use burning wish for?

Assault Strobe would be useful

- 2 Hellspark Elementals
+ 2 Spark Elemental
+ 1 Mountain
+ 2 Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle
+ 2 Leylines of Punishment (2 more in your Sideboard)
+ 3 Seething Songs

Some things for your Sideboard would be 2 more Leylines, and 4 Combusts if you find yourself up against a blue and/or white player.

Boom 60 cards (why wouldn't you want it to be 60??)

PS I don't know who you play Magic with but everyone I've ever met that plays won't even play someone who has less than 60 cards. Why? Because 60 IS the minimum; having any less gives you an (unfair) advantage because you have less cards to worry about cluttering up what you want to pull (that's why so many people use thinning.) That being said about the slight unfair advantage, I can't really think of many decks that this would beat (except complete noobs). White rapes this. Blue especially rapes this. Black rapes as well. Green can rape it pretty easily.

Is this some kind of weird 52 card Red VS Red deck?

lol budd dont worry bout this deck, i do have a finished 60 card deck, and this was my first, i ttoally didnt get to finish it and i forgot about it lol, i do play 60 card dont worry, take a look at my most recent deck called "Quest for the Holy Battle Cry" id like to hear your opinion on it

actually i would play this with a mill deck and that has wall of frost and the 1/6 crab from innistrad anlong with 4 negate and mana leak i wouldnt think it would have a problem vrs this deck due to ols cards like spreading seas and, shifting terrain

A nice card to add to this burn deck could be fire servant, that would double the damage you deal to other players.

* According to the poster, he never got to actually finih putting this deck together, and forgot he was in the process of making it. Based on the 52 cards that are in it, i think it would be pretty good, depending on what else he puts in. id def say some fetch lands, if you want to include like 1 or 2 high drop creatures, id say balefire dragon, mostly because it does wipe the field very often and kills: every titan, steel helkite, almost all illusions, wormcoil, batterskull, thrun, geist, bladehold and many other hard to get of creatures that your opponent controls, IF it gets through, which it usually does/ should, its a severlely underplayed mythic rare, which i see as having potential.

No valakut: Enters tapped; by the time you hit turn 6, the enemy should be killed, and even if not, the 3 damage each mountain entering the field is just ehhhhhh that late in the game.

Grim lavamancers are nice, exile your graveyard for burn pokes, your choice there, id rather play the instant of sorcery spell though for the same cost, maybe 2 of them?

SCRAMBLEVERSE FOR TEH LOLS

Galvanoth, 1 or 2 of those would be nice

And that is all i could really say about this

i don't know if this will work but you could use sundial of the infinate. if it does work like i think it does you wouldn't loose your creatures =) and still do insane damage.

Sundial is very confusing and I made the same mistake at 1st. The problem is Hell spark and ball lighting trigger at the end of every endstep because it is printed on the card. So you will be able save it on your turn but will have to sacrifice it on your opponents endstep.

Nope I believe it removes the triggered delay effect from the stack. The creatures should stay forever after you sun dial just once.

0
Posted 07 November 2011 at 20:42

If Sundial of the Infinite's ability is activated before the end step, any "at the beginning of the end step"-triggered abilities won't get the chance to trigger that turn because the end step is skipped. Those abilities will trigger at the beginning of the end step of the next turn. The same is true of abilities that trigger at the beginning of other phases or steps (except upkeep).

official ruling....

4 Spark Elemental and 4 Burst Lightning? Inferno Titan to replace Chandra and a Flame Slash, then add a Valakut and 2 Mountains? Valakut is good in moono red, because if you do need that extra damage, you can just play a Mountian since they can't be countered, unlike the spells, which can be.

I think Nalaar's a bit expensive for this deck. By that point you should be in very good shape, and if you're not then chandra's not really going to help. I think ablaze would be better, since this is a very instant/sorcery oriented deck.

May want to reconsider "Brow Beat" for something more reliable. It's got weird rulings where it only does 5dmg if an opponent chooses to take the 5dmg. If no one does the target draws 3 cards instead. : /

just something to think about.

*fixed

Maybe add in Seething Songs or other mana source spells for faster play / tons of damage :3

0
Posted 08 November 2011 at 22:24

Same thing with Blazing Salvo as with Brow beat. It doesn't do both dmg to creature and dmg to player. It only does the 5dmg to player if and only if the player chooses to take it, otherwise it just does dmg to the creature.

Also Flame Slash is creature target only. From what I've seen so far this is a pretty shoddy built burn deck : / I've seen WAY better and played against WAY better. Should seriously reconsider some of those spells.

Nivmagus elemental would really help esspecially if its a rush deck, but you would need lower mana costs for it.

This is a good deck but i would take out the planeswalker definitely. put 3 more lands in 4 spark elementals and 2 more elemental apparel to make this a fast fast legal red deck. also i would replace the war elementals with something faster maybe put in goblin arsonist then replace the browbeats with goblin grenades to sac the arsonist and do 6 damage to a player
