Deck Description

This deck is based around Nantuko Husk. I either use recursion (Nether Traitor, Doomed Necromancer, or Call to the Netherworld) or tokens (Sengir Autocrat) to build up my Husk and then deal some heavy damage. Grave Pact adds some fun to the mix. Let me know what you think! Be constructive with your comments, especailly for the creatures! This deck is Standard legal.

Deck discussion for Husk FTW

It looks like a good deck. However it feels like it would have some trouble against a number of decks. Nantuko could have some trouble getting to your opponent if he has alot of chump blockers. And Burn spells would finish him off before he got the chance to grow, but then I guess thats why you have the Lord. Looking at this the only thing I would change are some of the redundant - / - spells for something that made my Husk harder to block, like fear cards.

cover of darkness could give your zombies fear and that could be useful.
tendrils of corruption looks like a good card to go in this deck, and korlash could be useful to finish off what your husk couldn't and do some blocking

Overall I'd say it's an interesting concept. The only thing I'd be careful about is getting tokens into play. I'm aware that this really isn't a huge token-army deck, but having to discard a card to get one into play can get expensive. One thing I highly recommend is knowing what deck you are facing. If you face a black or artifact deck, the terrors are pretty well useless. I advise Death Rattle, which can be expensive if you haven't enough cards in the graveyard, works against non-greens.

Overall, I like it alot. First what I like: Undead Warchief & LoUndead, obviously (pun) good; Festering Goblin & Nantuko Husk, one of Black's best. 3. I like the 4of redundancy. It lets you really play consistently and see what helps and what doesn't.

Now, for a few suggestions: 1. Drop Dash Hopes either down to 2 or 0. It only really screws with you're opponent late game, and even then it's only OKl; 2. Ichor Slick only really reaches max power at 5 mana. A good deal late game, but (cont.)

not terribly good even midgame @ 5 mana (4 mana buys Korlash, Shimmian Specter, or Mortivore) 3. Finally, Where's the land!?! Any reliable deck even mono NEEDS 22+ land unless some once in a blue moon circumstances dictate otherwise.

Overall, a solid deck that just needs some playtesting.

I think profane command (Lorwyn command cycle) would be a really good card to add... You can use it as a finisher, a reanimator, fear spell, or -X/-X... If you can get a hold of it, looks like it would be really good. good deck 9/10 rate mine

I'd replace the darkness with a card that isn't a -1 card advantage like terror or shriekmaw. A fourth gravepact would be good. I played a zombie tribal back in the day that used a husk + gravepact and I would definately run 4 of each.

Shriekmaw would have awesome synergy with gravepact!

looks pretty solid to me... gravepact husk synergy is awesome. the recursion is also a great idea for games with lots of chump blocks to be thrown in the way of husk, overall i quite like it just watch out for burn that would kill your husk before he becomes useful

get whispersilk cloak like someone said before and put on husk. then use living death to get all you sacked creatures back from the dead and not lose husk cause it cant be targeted by spells or abilites.
