Deck Description

The idea was to build a deck to capitalize on Norin the Wary.

The original version (here: http://www.mtgvault.com/basilicanero/decks/original-now-you-see-me/) suffered from its high overall mana cost for the damage dealing.

This is an attempt to fix that by removing the Hamletback Goliath/Brion Stoutarm combo as well as the enchantments Angelic Chorus, Warstorm Surge, and In the Web of War. They all cost way too much and relied heavily on the mana pump of Grinning Ignus and Brighthearth Banneret combo-ing together to get them out in a timely manner.

I replaced them with the cheap one mana red returners (I call them yo-yos), Impact Tremors (less damage per creature but by adding in the yo-yo's it's FAR more cost effective), and Purphoros, God of the Forge.

Also swapped in Stormfront Riders and Aetherflux Reservoir for more versatile win conditions. Genesis Chamber was added at the suggestion of Kalmah123 and when paired with Suture Priest is a dirty dirty token pumping machine.

I have tagged the deck with "blink" although I know it doesn't have any true blinking mechanics but its a similar concept.

EDIT:

Swapped out Stormfront Riders for Panharmonicon because its cheaper and more effective overall for causing extra triggers.

EDIT:

Swapped out Saltskitter for Duck//Dawn for mid-to-late game threat removal and getting all my stuff back that people have been pinging off all game. On a fun side note: as I rarely have enough devotion to red on the field to make Purphoros a creature, he isn't destroyed by Dusk's world effect. Yay!

How to Play

The defense of this deck is massive life gain and tokens. You get out the soul sisters and just play creatures spells and pump out the tokens as expendable blockers while you ping away at your opponents life.

The offense is mainly get Tremors or Purphoros out and continue to play your yo-yo creatures. Once you get Norin the Wary and Saltskitter out and they start cycling, things are triggering two, three, four times a turn.

One thing to note is that both Purporos and Tremors both say each opponent and the soul sisters and Genesis Chamber are global. So be careful in multiplayer or you can draw a shit ton of agro, but if you time it right, you can kill everyone in just a couple of turns.

Secondary win cons include token win with Stormfront Riders and Genesis Chamber triggered by the yo-yos, then swarm your opponent. Or you can use your massive life gain and use Aetherflux Reservoir's second ability for a win.

Saltskitter and Genesis Chamber have a fun interaction: Once they are both out Saltskitter will always flash out as soon as it enters play. So essentially he just pops back into play on EACH end step, triggers all your life gain and damage, makes a myr token (which also triggers all your things), then exiles himself again.

The Whitemane Lion is a safety card: flash it in to activate Norin or Saltskitter if they are in danger, or use it to pop a highvalue creature back to you hand to keep it safe or just to play it again to trigger more abilities on the board, whichever you need at the time. The bonus is that it can return itself if you just need to activate the damage or life gain one more time. It also has the bonus that (if you have the available mana) it can be played and return itself as many times as you can pay for it. Unlike Glitterfang or Lightning Berserker who can only yo-yo once each turn.

Deck discussion for Blink

Hey if you had a felidar sovereign you could win through your lifegain

True, although his CMC is a bit up there and I've been trying to get it down for the deck, it would make for another possible win con.

This is true, but his cost is well worth putting him in there. Heck cost didn't stop me from building an eldrazi deck, without channel.

I don't think there is enough life gain to warrant it though. It is in my actual life gain deck (http://www.mtgvault.com/basilicanero/decks/life-gain-out-the-wazoo/) but in this one it doesn't gain nearly as much life as quickly. In playtests I don't reach 100 life while being attacked before turn 12 or so generally.

EDIT:
NO wait. You're right! I just reread Felidar. I forgot its 40 life not 100.

Nice oh and if you had the right setup you could add stonework dignitary to make sure your opponent never attacks you again. And an isochron sceptre with silence is also great.

Genesis Chamber in this kind of deck is simply amazing! especially with Suture Priest on the field.
