ooh. Do Battlefield Thaumaturge and Strength of the Tajuru combo they way I think they combo? (Essentially: pay GG and each creature you control gets +X/+X where X is the number of creatures you control?) Or does it not because you technically have to pay the multi-kicker BEFORE the targeting happens?Either way: sweet deck!Cheers!

I love Soul Sister decks! So many different ways to make them, it's great. My biggest recommendation for one using Genesis Chamber is to use 4 Suture Priests. Because Genesis chamber is a world effect it makes you opponents get tokens as well when they play creatures. So, hypothetically, if you have one Chamber and two Priests in play and they play one creature they lose 4 life. Boom. I would probably swap it for the Auriok Champion as its the same CMC and is far cheaper $$ in real life (but that's just me).Other thoughts for a R/W Soul Sister deck include replayable one drops like Glitterfang and Lightning Berserker. Here's my R/W Soul Sister Deck for comparison/inspiration: http://www.mtgvault.com/basilicanero/decks/blink/Enjoy your deck!Cheers!
But Gatecreeper Vine says "basic land card or Gate" so I think it would work. And Genesis Hydra is definitely and interesting thought, I'll need to playtest it.Thanks for the suggestion! :)
You're welcome!
Just write "swamp" in the card name field, that should do it. And for funs-ies if you want the Zendikar full art lands write "[zen]swamp".Cheers.
Nice Deck! I love Haakon. :)I would definitely recommend Phyrexian Tower. Other fun lands that involve saccing creatures include: High Market, Westvale Abbey, and Miren, the Moaning Well. Also Nameless Inversion's interaction with Haakon is too good to not include it in a Haakon deck. Because it is technically a 'Knight Instant' (thank you Changeling!) You may cast it over and over from your Graveyard when Haakon is in play. Endless creature removal which even gets rid of indestructible (bonus!).Here is my Haakon deck for comparison and inspiration: http://www.mtgvault.com/basilicanero/decks/shallow-grave/Enjoy your deck!Cheers!
Might I recommend Putrefy over Murder in this deck? Its dual colored B/G and will destroy artifacts AND creatures for the same converted mana cost. And for inspiration or ideas here is my B/G scavenge deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/basilicanero/decks/troll-ii-revenge-of-the-troll-2/Enjoy your deck!Cheers!
Love the idea! :) Kaldra is so fricking iconic, I was bummed he didn't at least make a cameo or get a mention when they went back to Mirrondin for Besieged.Anyway, I do have a couple thoughts if I may, though:I feel oblivion ring might not be the best card in a Worldslayer deck. For example, let's say you exiled a major threat creature or enchantment earlier in the game. As soon as you hit with Worldslayer, oblivion ring will be destroyed and they will get their big bad card back while all your stuff has been destroyed.I'm also not sure about the correlation between Worldslayer and indestructible these days, but last I knew Worldslayer could destroy indestructible because it is a world effect (although to be fair the guy who told me that years ago was only about 85% reliable on his obscure MTG rulings so I might very well be wrong). But if that is true then Worldslayer destroys the pieces of Kaldra as well. The other problem is that Lightning Greaves gives Shroud and equipping needs to target the creature. So in order to equip anything else onto Kaldra you would need to temporarily remove the shroud. Swiftfoot Boots only has a 1 equip cost but gives hexproof which might afford more reliable protection. Here my budget Kor Equipment (no Kaldra sadly but a similar feeling deck) for any ideas or inspiration:http://www.mtgvault.com/basilicanero/decks/hardkor-budget-20/Enjoy your deck!Cheers!EDIT: Swiftfoot Boots is also about $15 cheaper for a playset so that helps with the budget aspect of the deck.
Its more casual honestly. Pretty much would just use it in multiplayer among my friends. Anything immediately apparent on how to speed it up, though?
Might I suggest some of the en-Kor? They all have the ability to pay 0 and redirect the next 1 damage to target creature you control, so essentially you can redirect all defensive damage onto your Doll and then redirect it as infect from there. The only modern one is Outrider en-Kor, sadly, but still the idea could have some merit. Enjoy your deck!
Doubling Season will rock your world.
Glad to help! Here are two other life gain decks I have tinkered with in the past in similar lines which may have cards you'd find useful:http://www.mtgvault.com/basilicanero/decks/pure-white-souls/http://www.mtgvault.com/basilicanero/decks/life-gain-out-the-wazoo/Cheers.
I love the Soul Sisters :) I have a RW Soul Sister Deck with Norin the Wary, myself (http://www.mtgvault.com/basilicanero/decks/now-you-see-me-now-you-dont/ if you're curious)I have a couple suggestions if I may:Only eight of your land actually produce white mana, and I wonder at the consistency of saccing endless to it. Maybe drop some of the special lands and add in plains. You may want to include creatures you can play over and over such as Whitemane Lion (because when it enters play you can choose to return it to your hand). Also if you had Felidar Guardians and got two of them out they make an infinite life gain cycle if you have one soul sister out. Also Felidar Guardian works with Martyr as Endless One does not. Just thoughts. Enjoy your deck!Cheers.
Nice combo! I have a thought or two if I may:Might I recommend Nameless Inversion (1B - targ creature gets+3/-3 til end of turn) for your support spell list: as it has "Changeling" it is technically a "Knight Instant", and can be played over and over again if Haakon is in play.I use it in my Haakon deck and as a kill spell it even works on indestructible making it very effective. Also might consider Dimir Machinations as its Transmute ability lets you search for either Ashes of the Fallen or Grinding Station as both are 3 CMC.Cheers.
Nice deck! I went a similar route for my budget Kor deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/basilicanero/decks/hardkor-budget/I have really decent luck with it, I'm interested to know how yours does, as well! Cheers.
What about Judge's Familiar? It is a one drop to help your mana curve. You can play with whatever land you have first. It has a decent countering ability which, due to the fact that you sac it, powers up Aerie.
I just made the three decks a while ago and posted them all at once, so it probably seems like a lot but really its just my three posted in quick succession.
Yay! I love one mana decks. I have a whole series of them (one for every color and artifacts). I like how you went for the counters route, cards like Hardened Scales definitely make this possible now. Awesome.I wonder if Llanowar Reborn would be a better fit than Treetop Village with this setup though? Also, I feel the point here for you is Joraga Warcaller, but it doesn't matter how the counters get there, so for your budget and for speed's sake I wonder if something like Simic Initiate would be better than Joraga Treespeaker. With the money freed up you could afford more Hardened Scales. Here is my One Mana Green deck for comparison (I went the buffing spells route instead of counters):http://www.mtgvault.com/basilicanero/decks/one-mana-series-green/Enjoy your deck!
I had considered using faceless butcher but I think using the Changelings (while it makes it a tri-color deck which I’m not thrilled about) is best because it gives 16 exilers and seeing as how you need three the more the merrier. But if anyone else can think of a way around this I am all ears. Just the concept of infinite cycling creatures paired with Impact Tremors is the only thing sacred if you can think of a better way I’m interested. Maybe mimics of some kind?
Here is my Two Towers Deck, Am leaning towards slumbering dragon for smaug though, for flavor. :)http://www.mtgvault.com/basilicanero/decks/the-two-towers/
