Deck discussion for gruul 1 drop

For Gruul, you really need more lands. Around 26 would be welcome. Fastbond is the only one-drop I can think of that might help you put lands down, but there should be others.

I'll make it 24 only because of scute mob and dragonmaster outcast, but you don't need much mana to run a 1 drop deck

But your abilities need land. The cost of the cards are negligible compared to the "cost" of the abilities. For example, Dragonmaster Outcast.

Very nice. :) this looks really fun to play with.

The only thing that I might suggest actually is perhaps some land search in the form of caravan vigil (or something else 1 mana, maybe traveler's amulet or something. Not a land though,) which seems strange to say for a deck has nothing higher than 1 mana, but that way you can use Scute mob and Dragonmaster Outast sooner.

I think that these 1 mana decks should all be listed under a single deck so they can all be seen in one place. does that make sense? anybody want to make a "list" deck for this set?

07 I think my pentarch nemesis is the list deck.

I am sorry, the hub for this series of one-drop decks is my Good Knight deck, link posted below:

Well yeah I guess. I just didn't want the list to the over the comment section of your deck. :). But if you are fine with it that way... Then that works I guess.

It's fine by me ... it's kind of odd that it happened, but at least that knight tribal will get some more attention.

I don't know why people dislike tribal decks. True, some subtypes are extremely limited, like spiders or illusions, or the ally subtype if you want an extreme example. However, there are so many subtypes that have a plethora of creatures, often used outside of their tribe. These are knights, clerics, vampires, humans, soldiers, merfolk, zombies, dragons, and goblins. Have you ever seen a block that failed to print one of these cards? Plus, finding neat tribal artifacts like Thornbite Staff and Blade of the bloodchief is a lot of fun, as is combining several subtypes in a deck - human/demon, zombie/vampire, or soldier/dragon. The synergy of these cards can make otherwise useless cards, like cavalry master, really powerful.

I agree, sitting I have to say that I think that an ally build can be completely over powered if done the "right"way.

Still would love to see more tribals though.

Nice suggestions! For increasing the number of lands in play: Burgeoning, Caravan Vigil, Collective Voyage, Exploration, Fastbond, or Font of Fertility.

Please give me some help on a Dimir deck of mine.

I like the idea of fastbond and burgeoning, but what about draw power to get the lands into your hand? Any suggestions?

That's easy epiphany storm

Although being that it's all 1 drops glimpse of nature might be better....

I like glimpse of nature, but epiphany storm doesn't look right for this deck

Yeah glimpse of nature is a better fit.

Now the only problem is it isn't legal in any format unless you only run 1 fastbond.

How about Oracle of Mul Daya, it both draws and plays! Or Courser of Kruphix.

I love those too, but it's a 1 drop deck and I have to stick with the theme.
Thank you for pointing that out about fastbond, don't know how I missed that one!

Hmmm ..... maybe because it has a drawback?

Hey Barracuda, how's it goin'? I have some decks that I would like a comment on:

Have a moment? I'll check some of yours.

You mean fastbond?
If used right, it's drawback does not matter at all, so I'd say it's because it's drawback is not bad enough

It already has so many combo options. You can actually use it to kick off a turn one combo win with platinum angel and disintegrate.

I'd say the drawback isn't even noticeable compared to how unfair the card is.

Yeah ... AND the land entering isn't directly from the enchantment, so your opponent can't counter them as they enter.

Go for it. Dimir is such a good guild for a 1 drop deck I don't see why you both couldn't make one....

Go for it!
Do you guys think it's ready for public view once I add tags and description?

Sure, go ahead, I want see it. Memory sluice, Tomb Scour, Bonesplitter, Gravecrawler, Jace's Phantasm, and Hedron Crab say hello. I would say goodbye, then ask for another deck to play..

But I haven't seen it ... can you post a link, like this?

Yeah, can. It isn't ready yet. I just got off work, so I can finish it up soon. I have plenty of cards, and now I need to trim down. And yes I will post a link. :).
