Made a Tribal Mono Black Vampire EDH with a little twist. Something to go against my bro Zombie Tribal deck. Hope it looks good :)
Get out Vampires and attack as much as I can. Have discard, Board Wipes, and enchantments to help hold off opponents. Maybe a little slow to get started but should be alright. Infinite Life steal combo in there with creatures to help if one 1/2 of it is missing. Even included Skittles to draw some attention and maybe do a one shot kill in end of came with Howl from beyond. Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated!!!

I wanted a vampire deck for a long time. I started with Olivia Voldaren (red/black) then moved to Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter (black/white) then to Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge (red/blue/black) then lastly to Anowon. The deck seemed to work best in mono-black but honestly the weakest link was Anowon. The problem was I just had a tough time getting him to do anything. He doesn't force a sacrifice until he's sat in play a full turn, and once people see he's coming they plan for it. I could never get him to stick long enough to matter. Eventually I switched to Drana on a whim and it worked much better. I guess that may be different depending on your meta, but don't be afraid to experiment with Drana (the original) if Anowan isn't quite cutting it.Cabal Coffers is stupidly good in mono-black. I'd pick one up if you can. I even run Thespian's Stage and Vesuva to copy it if I can.

I was debating the same thing with Drana. Hearing it from you has convinced me to pull the switcheroo. I don't have a mono colored EDH deck and figured hey vampires or nothing. Do the other cards I plugged in gel well with this theme? I was afraid of the deck being too high in mana cost making it slow and if I draw a bad hand....I'm a sitting duck. Any suggestions? can't believe I missed Cabal. Thanks for that.
I just realized I did not do something polite....Happy New Year Doc!!!
I'm running a mana doubling sub-theme in my deck. In addition to Cabal Coffers, Nykthos, and Nirkana Revenant I also have Gauntlet of Power, Extraplanar Lens, Caged Sun, and Doubling Cube all of which works well with Drana, and works well with all the card draw in black. You could also slot in stuff like Crypt Ghast or Magus of the Coffers for two more doublers, but I'm sticking to only vampires just to keep things from getting out of control.I'm moving a few decks over to tapped out just because I like their tools better, so my deck is there: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/drana-kalastria-bloodchief-queen-of-blood/And happy new years to you, too!
Nice Deck! Seems a little light on creatures though.. I tried fitting in some things into my deck. Gauntlet expensive card though and cant decide what to swap it with same with lightning greaves on what to take out. Suggestions to fit them in?
I think people in general run too many creatures in EDH. Maybe in Roon or Brago or something where you're running all enter-the-battlefield abilities you want a lot, but it's been my experience that running too many dudes leads you to overextending into the inevitable board wipe. My most creature-heavy deck runs 24, and I have some running as few as 17. Another way to look at it is this; are you ever going to draw Child of Night and think "oh, thank got I drew that Child of Night! Now I can save myself and win the game!" Probably not. But there's plenty of times I've top-decked a Murder and it's saved me.
hmmm valid points. I shaved it down a bit can't go less than 25 creatures.Could you take and let me know what you think. Any recommendations would be great unless its perfect lol :p
