The problem I found with using Viridian Emissary is that early on they don't get blocked. They are also bad if your opponent keeps using into the roil or some spells like that. Very good thought though. I did try them out early on.

I was thinking of adding Dispel and Venser, the Sojourner. Maybe even a Contagion Engine or clasp.
