The Splinter Twin/Deceiver Exarch combination intrigued me when I saw it, but to me it seemed to be constrained by the Deceiver's own ability: when it comes onto the battlefield, you may choose to tap or untap a creature. Obviously, you chose to untap the original copy, so the infinite continued on until the opponent died of exsperation. Making people give up simply isn't my style. Then, DKA gave me an alternative to the Deceiver, one that caught my eye more than the Deceiver could: The Midnight Guard. Now, instead of having to use an activated ability to untap my engine, he untapped as soon as he copied himself. This made things a lot better, in my opinion. Of course, this deck is set up in Modern format to better make use of it, and I didn't rely on just making my opponents run away in fear. Convoke has a place here, as does mass sacrifice and even token generation in case the Splinter doesn't appear. Should my Auras fail, there's an Excavation team waiting to salvage them, and there will be Justice should anyone try to stand in my way.
