Deck Description

"American Paper Mill."
"Why name it that?! There's only one Mill card in here!"
"Exactly."

Mindshrieker was one of the underplayed cards of Innistrad, in my opinion. With that, yes, he is the ONLY Mill card in this deck (Thus the reasoning for calling it a 'Paper Mill', as it's only one card at a time.), and his milling is merely for functionality. I like the idea of a two-drop bird that can mess up my opponent's day by merely top-decking one card. The look one someone's face is just priceless. Combine him with Wizened Snitches in a multiplayer game and you have a flying bomb that could go off at random in anyone's face. And for fun, the 'clash' cards from Lorwyn provide ample fun, since you can choose the weakest link thanks to your snitching friend. And just to mess with people, you have a Meddling Mage present since you 'know' what they might decide to play. Nifty, huh? "Just dies to Doom Blade", you scoff. This deck casually flips you a bird (see what I did there?) by either way of Protective Bubble or just top-decking their kill spells. On top of this, there's always Redeem the Lost.

"You mean to tell me someone actually USES that card?"
"Mhmmm. By the way, there went your kill spell."
"@#$% bird!"

How to Play

Let this deck work out its synergies (preferably in multiplayer).
For the most part, you'll want at least the Wizened Snitches and a Mindshrieker (if Mindshrieker is incognito, there's scrying power in every hand!). This handy combo works itself out from the get-go.

Pros - This deck is seriously fun to screw around with.
Provides its own answers to most problematic decks.
It's American, minus the excess fast food. There's arrogance aplenty, a
constant need to meddle in others' affairs, and air superiority. Fun.

Cons - REAL Mill decks will probably eat you alive.
Burn decks have a good chance to wreck you as well.
Weenie decks may have early flying defense. Sucks to be you.
Mindshrieker STILL has a chance to die to Doom Blade.

Deck discussion for American Paper Mill

I like it alot. I know it may not be the point of the deck, but Mystic Speculation is a genius card. Probably even better than Preordain. I might seriously play that card.

Yeah, I absolutely love that card, just because it has a buyback cost.

I really like the idea of knowing what your opponent is going to play. I think Azorius Charm would be good (attacking creature ability) and maybe time ebb. I also think some Hindering lights to protect your snitches and Mindshriekers.

Hmmm, had forgotten about the Hindering Light, good idea, Itsmagic.
Actually, Azorius Charm AND Boros Charm would have an equal place in here, and I had them in my previous American deck, but somehow managed to forget them. Thanks!
