Soul warden and rhox faithmender help you to gain life for each creature entering the battlefield and doubling your life gain. So with great amounts of life, you can open your defences. Sure it's a casual deck, but it can be very annoying if you can put the machine at work.. For the final strike, Purphoros can destroy almost the rest of the life your oponents have. For mass cleaning, you can put wrath of god of the sideboard. For more destruction, destroy all lands when the machine is at work.
