Another one of my control decks. I've been wanting to make one with Assemble the Legion and I finally was able to get ahold of a few.
Counter what you don't like and hold off your opponent till you can get AEtherling out or till Assemble the Legion builds up on aggro. Use Desolate Lighthouse to throw away lands you don't want/need.

Cool deck! Why not run 2 Assemble the Legion in the main deck?

It's not the main win condition of the deck so no point in running 2 of them. If I want to add in a second one I'll grab from the sideboard but other than that I would rather have that slot open to something else. I'm trying to add in Detention Sphere and two planeswalkers. Just don't know what to take out for them.
Turn/burn or helix id say
Not Turn//Burn for sure. That card answers a lot of things. Maybe Helix, not sure though cause I like that card a lot.
I'm not gonna lie, this deck looks like a super solid control build. SUPER-solid. My only thoughts might be to add a couple more win-cons... maybe another Aetherling and another Assemble? With 2 total it's possible for them to get stuck at the bottom and now amount of sphinx's revelationing or jacing will get you there. Just a thought. I'd also recommend going from Supreme Verdict to Terminus for everything but the control mirror. Terminus destroys reanimator since they can't just unburial rites their creatures back onto the battlefield and it also doesn't trigger voice of resurgence, doomed traveler, young wolf, or blood artist for junk aristocrats. I'd swap in 3 Terminus' for the 3 Supreme Verdicts and then add 2 or 3 supreme verdicts to sideboard.I have to ask... what deck did you lose to at FNM? And while I'm making random inquiries, why Niv-Mizzet in the sideboard? Haven't seen much of him lately. Thanks for the comment!
I have another AEtherling in the sideboard if I need more win conditions. I tried to fit another Assemble the Legion in the board but just couldn't make it fit cause of what my board consists of. I agree with your point on Terminus messing up reanimator decks but that is also why I have Rest in Peace in the board. I haven't come across an Aristocats deck at my FNM so this deck is built towards the meta at the shop. We do see Voice of Resurgence a lot but I have Essence Scatter as well as Detention Sphere and Pillar of Flame for him. I never had a problem with him when he hit, which surprised me. I have Niv-Mizzet in the board because: 1. I like him/ 2. He is the alternate win condition against Rakdos. If I go up against a deck running red/black they will sideboard in Slaughter Games aiming for AEtherling, only to find out he isn't in there. The deck I lost too was a Naya Blitz deck. I beat him first game but second and third game I saw 0 Sphinx's Revelation. That is what saved me in game 1. Also thanks for the compliment on my deck!
No problem. My local shops consists of ridiculous amounts of bant control and aristocrats, so Terminus would be my card of choice. If you're going to sideboard in rest in peace against those decks though, I would ditch terminus altogether and just run supreme verdicts.
Na I wouldn't want to do that. I still see a few Boros Charms so I want that ace in the hole.
Switched out Terminus with Assemble the Legion. I'll try it out cause I may need the deck to be more aggressive in the long run.
