Deck Description

Standard Esper control deck with milling and extort as win conditions. Debating on weather I should take this one to FNM since it does failry well against my Merican Midrange deck.

How to Play

Hold off your opponent with spot removal or mass removal and mill their deck away or start slowly bringing them down with extort from Blind Obedience. I run Architect of Thought and Memory Adept since I can filter the deck and kill off Architect of Thought with his -2 ability and then just play Memory Adept to get a better mill going. Board in Rest in Peace against decks that may be running Psychic Spiral or reanimator.

Deck discussion for Esper Control

Watched something similar played yesterday for a few rounds and something I noticed is that in needs to be played fast. 3 of 4 rounds went to time from what I saw. I would personally change the Dramatic Rescue for a second Unsummon. That 2 life is not crucial most of the times and Unsummon is easier to use with extort (2 against 3 mana)

Good point thanks for that tip. Also yea...I like control but I noticed this deck can run a bit slow but thats what this deck wants to do. Hold off. That is what running 4 Sphinx's Revelation is for though. Mass draw to get the lands or Blind Obedience that you'll need.

although i like esper, i don't have much experience with control decks. you seem to have it down pat, could you take a look at this interesting twist on esper control? it's actually very similar, it just takes the rest in peace thing to a whole new level. http://mtgvault.com/kmk888/decks/this-might-destroy-standard/
