I love the Sundial so much! You can end the turn on your turn...anytime. :)

I'm sure he's fine.

I love Sundial, too. Skipping end steps is GREAT. Should move this to Extended with my Ball Lightnings and Hellsparks.

I think the Crumbling Colossus doesn't die if you end after damage. What do you think?

It should still die, as it says after combat...

Was Soul's Fire ever a highly used card for decks? I understand that it's not standard now, but I can't seem to find it in decks and I think it's better than Fling for only 1 more mana. Sorry for not having any suggesetions >.>
P.S. do you just want into FNM and stuff and yell "BONESAW!"?

1
Posted 10 July 2011 at 06:24

I don't think so, but for a long time, I had a deck built around Zektars, Ball Lightnings, Flings, and Soul's Fires. It's a good card, but in a mono-colored (i.e. not green) deck, that one extra mana HURTS.

Re: P.S.: Nope, but Bone Saw is the greatest thing ever, and warrants such an outburst.

Is he asking if when you want to play FNM but can't (because you have Bonesaw) you "yell BONESAW!"?

0

I think it's meant to be "WALK into FNM."

1
Posted 11 July 2011 at 06:28

Well FNM isn't a place, it's an event, and if you WANT into an event and can't get in, you're mad and yell BONESAW! or BONESAW!?

0

I meant walk, and FNM is an event at a place. That's how I was referring to it.
and I found a single suggestion. Mycosynth Wellspring. Just for a little more landfall. : )

This deck I trolled--I mean, made--a few months ago is very relevant to this conversation: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=160754

I literally meant to throw in Mycosynth instead. Goddamnit, good catch.

I still don't get how you can justify playing Sundial of the Infinite over useful spells. And no it doesn't save your shrine token. the token just dies in your opponents end step. So why play it?

TO END TURN

GOD

0

the turn end just by itself you know, you don't have to play cards to end it :)

0
Posted 12 July 2011 at 14:55

We all know that, but you seem to not see the potential in having a card do it for you. You skip the end step entirely this way. Did you oponent cast a lighting bolt on your creature during combat? end the turn in response. Is your oponent trying to unsummon a creature on your field during your turn? End the turn in response. Doing this exiles all spells on the stack. It's actually a great tactic to have in almost any deck, because you officially get the last say on anything that happens during your turn.

1
Posted 12 July 2011 at 21:56

Yes I know that but mono red is far more efficient if it doesn't build in such silly defense tactics unless it's a combo. Your opponent will not lightning bolt with Sundial of the Infinite on the field in your turn if it is not to his benefit, he'll do it in his own turn unless he wants to timewalk which is actually fantastic, weee I get a timewalk for 1 red mana. The only possible reason to run it is if you can do broken stuff with it and I don't see anything broken here. So I ask but apparently Awz doesn't want to explain his deck, so why post it in the first place? what an asshole.

It's for deckthinning, fetchlands extract lands from the deck and decrease the chance of drawing into more land.

Hey I found a fun Artifact for this deck, Crumbling Colossus, a 7/4 with Trample that you DON'T have to sacrifice, because you can end your turn before the end of combat with your Sundial. Take a look, see if it fits your fancy

Anyway. I hope you take a look at my latest deck, READY?! AIM! FIRE! it's a Legacy built archer deck that doesn't have any amazing or mindblowing combos in it but gets the job done with lots of little pointy flying things. Thanks for your time.

Costs too much. Not my bag. Good card, but much better in mono blue with Grand Architect.

If you have so many artifacts why don't you just run galvanic blast, its way more efficient.

I actually forgot that existed for a minute. Good call.

Regardless, since I'mma (hypothetically) be turning them into damage, it's probably a moot point.

Might switch 'em in and take out Bolts.

I'm thinking of making a Red Green deck kind of inspired by this - not standard legal, just for fun.

Imagine, instead of flinging those tokens...

Equip them, Giant growth them, and feed them into the ooze garden.
