The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

This deck abuses Rest in Peace to set up a number of engines that will eventually win you the game. The deck is strong chiefly because enchantment removal is sparse in Legacy, and the main combo pieces are enchantments. If the opponent does happen to have removal, Sterling Grove will help to protect your enchantments.Card Choices:Noble Hierarch, Swords to Plowshares, Arcane Denial: Your removal and ramp. Arcane Denial may seem weird, but I like it because it is a hard counter that doesn't need UU, costs 2 mana, and the drawback isn't that bad.Enlightened Tutor, Sterling Grove: Along with Sterling Grove doubling as protection, these provide the basis of the deck's toolbox. They can search up RIP, Sterling Grove, or any number of other combo pieces. 6 is a pretty reliable tutor number.Helm of Obedience: The historic combo piece with RIP. Wins game.Advocates: These creatures are very bad without Rest in Peace out, but with it out, they just win you the game. Spurnmage Advocate shuts down go-tall decks (although it doesn't stop Progenitus). Nullmage and Shieldmage advocates have some versatility. Forcemage Advocate acts as a Goyf alternative with RIP out, and is your main wincon. Pulsemage Advocate makes your Forcemages resistant to removal and also wins you the game. The Advocates do have some utility without RIP against decks like Reanimator and Dredge, because they can return the combo pieces to your opponents hand with benefits.Energy Field, Web of Inertia: Mean combos that shut down creature-based decks. Energy field is much better because it also shuts down noncreature decks like Storm. Energy field is the main tutor target after RIP.Rogue's Passage: For grindy games when you have Energy Field out but your opponents have creatures to block with.

NOTE: Set by owner when deck was made.
Uh, I'm sorry, but I don't think the advocates work with Rest In Peace, since you must target cards in the graveyard and there won't be any to target.

If this deck does work, it's awesome...but @Dankirk does have a potential point
