Deck Description

A fun combo/epic experiment deck that I think I'll run at my next FNM.

Basically either get a tonne of tokens then battle hymn and use an experiment.
If that doesn't work get lots of tokens and burn at the stake
If THAT doesn't work then get a guttersnipe out and go crazy.
If EVEN THAT doesn't work then just use devil's play.

I believe combo decks should always have multiple win conditions and this one has several and they all hit hard.

Sideboard is to shift to an aggro/combo strategy or one that stalls out an aggressive opponent. The reforge the soul is planned to be used against discard control but that is a bit of a concern as it restocks their hands too.

Thoughts: Thinking of adding dispel to the sideboard to help deal with permission decks but am unsure at the moment as I don't play against much permission

Deck discussion for Going Epic!

Mizzium Mortars is another good burn spell. :)

That's a good call. Probably better than bonfire as it won't waste a battle hymn to activate and with an electromancer out it's very cheap.

Might try Goblin Arsonist...it's a fun blocker early on and can stall some early game hurt from coming your way.

Very cool deck! I agree that mizzium mortars is a good call. Also blustersquall and dynacharge. pass your turn and at the end of their turn tap down all their creatures, then thatcher revolt and dynacharge on your turn is another alternate win condition :) I run the same combo in my izzet deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=390691 ) and it works wonders. Good luck at fnm!

They are a nice pair. Could work in the sideboard when I push for the aggressive token combo instead of the epic experiment. I'll run it against friends and see how it goes.
Thanks for the feedback :)
