Deck Description

Prototyping a Boros splash black deck to see what Tibalt and Firemane Avenger are capable of.
Currently the only black splash is for Falkenrath Aristocrat and dreadbore so she could just as easily be hellrider and more burn but I like the option to kill reckoner without 2-1 myself.
Tibalt is to try and tune the hand mid game when you are drawing dead cards. It's likely that faithless looting would be better but I want to see what Tibalt can do.
Tempted to add an unburial rites package which would make Tibalt less painful and then add Chandra but will see how testing pans out.

Deck discussion for Boros Aggro/Burn

Tibalt really has no synergy with any of your cards. Replace him with Ash Zealot and all will be fine ^^
If you love Tibalt and need to play him, try Grixis Dredge, or basically any Graveyard strategy with enough red...
His +1 is random! so expect no tuning from him

I want to try and stay standard and play a deck that wants to run hellbent by midgame. Ideally I want to lower the curve but there isn't enough good burn like in older formats. When you are hellbent and draw a land you've got nothing so ticking Tibalt up gives you a shot at something else and if he misses you won't be any worse off than if you just kept your land.

and thats his best application. if you have good cards in hand, they might get discarded, if you have no cards in hand (aka the card you drew was good), his +1 is "do nothing". Walkers like Domri at least have +1: statistically draw half a card.
